Remember on the MM paths, you are limited to 20 MPH! If you buy a bigger one with street legal, you will get license plates for the road, but I heard you cannot run them on the TV MM roads! So check it out before you spend all that money!

Yep, for all of you that want to live in TV all year long, I would recommend you rent in the summer June, July , August! These are the brutal months! It gets alittle less humid and heat stroke in Sept to May!

Absolutely! We have lived in the Southeast our entire life so we are used to the summer heat and humidity. But for those that are not from the SE you definitely want to visit central FL during the summer months to see if living here year round is right for you.

I would like a pre-owned home. HOWEVER, I thought about it, and it might be wise to be one of the first residents of a new neighborhood. Then you could go out on daily treks and acquaint yourself with your neighborhood and beyond without all the traffic. I’ve lived in a Minneapolis suburb and also Detroit so I know how to negotiate a huge city, but I’m actually not from a large city. I was born in Duluth and returned to Duluth several years ago. Not an ideal place to retire, but here I am. Population has basically been the same my entire life, around 85,000. Not huge, not tiny. Easy to maneuver around except maybe in winter and then only occasionally. We have that giant lake as a reference point and it’s easy to determine east from west. West is a bit more convoluted than east. Really enjoy your videos. If you haven’t purchased your golf cart yet and are in the market for a 4 seater, check out Jerry and Linda’s Mailbag Monday from April 22nd. They borrowed a cart from a friend while Linda’s sister visited and they LOVED it. All seats faced forward. Seems a tad longer than the other style 4 seater. I’m sure it is.

We had our first phone conversation yesterday with a nice lady by the name of Jamie who was very helpful answering some questions. We are planning a Lifestyle trip in December. Oh, I hate Love Bugs! When I lived in South Florida as a teen, riding my bike through them was not fun! Bugs in your hair, ears, in your shirt LOL oh boy! Can't wait till we can go to one of our first festivals! Thanks for sharing so much content and good luck with your Golf Car purchase! Speaking of love bugs someone told me if you wet down your car where the love bugs are and use a wet dryer sheet and rub lightly they should come right off. Hope that helps.

It is advised if you buy a four seater to get front facing seating. If the rear seat faces back whoever rides back there is looking right in the face of whoever is stopped behind you. Love your episodes.

Love your show! We bought in CCC 5 years ago and so happy we did, as we prefer the safer Gated Community!!! The Villages is building all around us, which has doubled our value in CCC. Also, love all the amenities that we can enjoy from The Villages!!! We are an OLD Florida Community and have so much history (Micky Mantle lived here). We call CCC the "Diamond in the Rough" LOL!!!!

My husband and I live in The Villages right around the corner from CCC where we go to the driving range occasionally as well as the onsite restaurant. Yes you do have a gated entrance to where the homes are located in your community, but the homes are mobile homes which are not the safest type homes to live in in hurricane prone Florida. And although inland central Florida may not face the hurricane force winds as the Florida coastal areas do, there still remains the threat of flooding. And the primary reason we chose The Villages to live in over all other 55+ communities in Florida is because of the infrastructure. The Villages infrastructure was put in place to reduce the risk of home flooding by way of having all the ponds connected, so in the event of hurricane flooding not only can the water in the ponds be raised and lowered to divert water away from the homes and streets, the 60+ golf courses can be flooded with pond water if need be to further divert water away from homes facing a flood threat. And having lived near the bay in R.I. which is another hurricane prone state, over the years we had to evacuate our former home several times during hurricanes because of flooding. So for us, we feel safer living in The Villages with its flood risk reduction infrastructure and having a pretty good alarm system. And as a safety bonus we have multiple full-time neighbors including my husband that are Veterans and retired police officers.

This is what the population is like now. Even back before they built south of 44, the festivals were crowded. now add all the new full-time residents south of 44. Also, it's open to the public, so anyone can attend the festivals. here north of 44, you really can tell that snowbirds have left. Being north of 44, we cannot wait for them to build a square south of 44. maybe they will start holding all the festivals down there. With lovebugs, you need to wash all your clothing, your cart, your vehicle RIGHT AWAY. Watch sitting down in your cart during lovebug season. Not too many summer events, due to HEAT, thunderstorms and alot of people travel. The Costco needs to be in a different location. Building a costco not near a major expressway not too smart.This location is near the school and no major roads. To get that location, the developer must be $$$$$$$$$. Can you imagine CR 301 with people coming south from Ocala and North from the Villages south of 44. What a cluster. The best time to kayak with the Manatees is mid November to end of March. Our neighborhood did that and it was pretty awesome. Enjoy your walks.

There’s no way Costco will open in 3 months. Hobby Lobby was more than a year. It’ll be at least spring of 2025 & possibly fall 2025.

Hopefully it will open later this year. It all depends on when they start and break ground. Lots of articles on Google that say from the time they break ground to time of grand opening is under 4 months. Links and direct quotes from Costo’s architectural firm below. “The typical warehouse takes 110 days - or just under four months - to build, according to MG2, Costco’s longtime architectural firm, which has designed more than 785 stores in the past 30 years.” “We can enclose a metal building in 45 days,” Moayeri said. “Once the roof is on, the building is 100% watertight. The installation of electrical, plumbing, fire protection and lighting systems can proceed while the exterior details and features are being completed.” Moayeri added that Costco has a very aggressive schedule. “We can build a metal warehouse store-from foundation to opening-in 110 days,” he said. I was disappointed that we didn't run into you at the Blueberry Festival but we did go on the later side. Since it was on a Friday, my husband was working and although on Friday he normally gets off around 2 to 3, he wasnt finished until after 6. It took us about half an hour to get there by car. I think we arrived around 7. Had no trouble finding a spot big enough for our truck. In fact it was pretty close. We ended up buying from a few vendors. We got hotdogs and fries for dinner from the New York hotdogs food truck. That was a win because it was cheap and good. I am so excited for the Costco. We're north of 466 so this will be only 10 minutes away by car!! I'm not surprised that it's the building lot because it's huge and was conspicuously empty. I guess we'll see you at Costco eventually! 🎉

I was at the villages last week. I was kinda shocked about some things. The food I thought was great. The Villages was spread out. Golf cart ride depending where you are is a ways. The squares are not as big as what you think. Shopping can be a distance. Cost is more than what they say when buying a home. The lot, bond, if you want a pool and cover, very expensive. If you go to a concert at the square people act like there 18 again. I really wanted to buy and enjoy but, if you live in a place that's pretty nice all around, the only difference to me there is the age limit there. The people are nice but when you are retired and can have fun and party who would not be happy. I was not overly impressed.

We were there at the Blueberry Festival and it really was crowded! We looked for you guys but didn't see you. We did get some delicious blueberries, though, and we were able to see some of the places that you have shown in your videos - like Sawgrass and Lake Sumter.
