I prefer your production method, it’s certainly not boring and I for one love the sounds, rail travel for some reason relaxes me and hearing the travel sounds enhances the video, keep up the great work and don’t change because of armchair critics who have probably never traveled beyond the off licence

Hello, as someone already mentioned the EU07 pulling your train was built in HCP in Poznań actually. There were two batches of EU07s. First one 001-240 was built in Pafawag Wrocław. Second one 300-up was built in Poznań. Please do not bother with comments saying your videos are boring. I bet there are plenty of people appreciating this way of documenting train travels. Keep up great work!

Your filming style is your filming style. Period. I happen to like it. Others happen to like channels I don't like. It is good we're not all the same!

One of the great channels on YT precisely BECAUSE of no narration, product placement and other distractions. Pure, high-production, detailed and documented train travel. Moreover, never too long.

Great video 😊 As you mentioned in the video, the fact, that there is no voiceover narration, no music (despite intro for the movies) made your movies unique, and for those who are watching you since for example TransSiberia series would knew that fact and that should not be a problem, especially when you provide great amount of historical information about lines related to the particular movie. I have only two things to point First is the EP07-338. The locomotive is the 303E type which means that it was not produced by the PaFaWag, but by HCP Poznań. "338" was built in 1984 in Poznań as EU07-338 (factory number 303E-238/1984) and in 1997 upgraded to EP07-338. In a simple way - you can recognize the vehicles produced in HCP by the grooved side parts of the body (dark green). Vehicles produced by PaFaWag are the type 4E and they do not have those grooves, and they are not capable with automatic couplers (303E is capable). Second is the branding of the TRAXX locomotives. Since 2021 each newly built engine is produced as Alstom TRAXX (only TRAXX AC3/DC3/MS3), but until that year, all of TRAXX locomotives were produced by Bombardier Transportation (both PaFaWag Wrocław and Kassel). Even that nowdays Alstom is manufacturing TRAXX locomotives, for those vehicles which were manufactured before 2021 the manufacturer is Bombardier Transportation, not Alstom 😉 The Lotos Kolej TRAXX is the F140DE type so that is manufactured in 2011 by BT.

The M62M-001 locomotive seen at 10:17 is an interesting modernisation of the M62 locomotive. This particular locomotive got its original 14D40 engine replaced by 645E3B engine made in USA which originally powered F40PH locomotive but was taken away, regenerated and sold to Poland. The modernisation was done by Rail Polska company in their own shed and for years was used by them. It switched ownership from Rail Polska to LTG Cargo very recently, in October 2022.

24:43 One note: this exact loco was made in HCP works in Poznań. First type (4E) of this series was made by Pafawag Wrocław indeed, but production of the second, modified type (303E) was undertaken by HCP.

17:29 "This line is part of Rail Baltica project" - it is not true. This section between Suwalki and Bialystok which you were driving will be not the part. Because of the strategic reasons and short distance between the line and Belarus border. The Rail Bailtaca will have different way. From Suwalki through Olecko and Elk to Bialystok. There is also an old railway actually there (Suwalki - Elk) which will be renewd. Additional reason is to be more closelu to military poligons next to Elk in Poland. You can easy find the maps of Rail Bailtica.

Great vlog as always. The keyboard warriors would probably never travel more than 5km from their homes, so their comments hold no interest. I absolutely love the way you put your videos together, using local languages in your text is great. This journey in particular, is one that i have done several times, mainly as a segment of a longer journey from the UK to visit family in Latvia, as well as other general holiday trips. Keep up the great work, maybe one day we can travel into Belarus once again.

The word is not that ugly... - Even when the distance to the Belarussian border is "as much as" 10 km, I'd be careful with you mobile phone. I had a similar situation in Croatia last summer where my phone switched briefly to a Bosnian-Hercegovinian network, giving me a nice juicy phone bill. Keep up the good work!

Your “long form” style of editing and presenting train journey videos where the sounds and images tell the story is perfect. There are some well-produced product review channels that do short videos and comment on features onboard the trains (especially the toilets 🙄) but they are all copies of one another and quickly get boring. Your style of video captures the feelings and sensations of the journey and is closest to what travelling by train is actually like. It’s also nice that you spend time explaining some of the interesting history of the area the train is travelling through. Thank you for sharing your travels with us… those people with the snarky comments are entitled to their opinion but if they just relaxed a bit they might feel better and learn how to appreciate and enjoy a slower pace of presentation!

Excellent video! I'm traveling on this railway line since the year 1999. The last was one week ago from Vilnius to Warsaw Wschodnia. There I changed for the night train westbound. In old times there were 3 train-couples a day, and a night train from Warsaw to Vilnius.

Moved to Poland 6 years ago and now starting to explore the country by rail rather than by car. Your videos are excellent as well as very informative. They have also helped me understand how the rail system works here and the ticketing system/train types. I'm classed here as a senior, so that helps too with costs and booking! Thank you.

This is an awesome train ride.

I would like to add some interesting details about the route: 1. the line between Jastrzębna and Sokółka opened in 1963 to bypass part of the Zanemen Line to Grodno which after 1945 remained in the Soviet Union (now Bielarus) 2. the future Rail Baltica will not use the Suwałki-Augustów-Sokółka-Białystok line but a more western one: Suwałki-EŁK-Białystok.

Interesting trip. I like your videos only thing I would change is to use 2 lines for the text. The travel time is quite long though. The EN57 train sets are nicknamed “Kibel” which means toilet (it used to smell in them). EN57AL is also called Alicja (Alice) I don’t like some of the seats of PKPIC, when modernised, they often become less comfortable, thanks FPS.

Superb video! Glad you made it. Just small remark 🙂 Poland is in Central Europe, if we consider geographic split of Europe. Also geometric middle point of Europe is located in Poland, therefore PL cannot be in Eastern Europe 🤣 Also, from historical and language and more obvious reasons (even railway gauge), countries located East of PL are considered as the Eastern Europe.

The PKP EP07 are updates of EU07 locos built from the 1960's to a design licensed from English Electric, hence the similarity to the UK Class 83 locos, the first locos were called EU06 in Poland but made at EE plant Vulcan Foundry in UK - PKP painted an EU07 in the bright blue 1960's Class 83 livery for a while.

The line is in poor condition as renovation is not profitable this line will soon be replaced by Rail Baltica with a maximum speed of 250 km/h, works are already well advanced. After the construction of Rail Baltica is completed, it will be possible to travel from Vilnius to Warsaw in 3 h 10 min

Poland and Baltics are not in Eastern Europe, but in Central Europe. Look at the map of Europe, check where the borders are, and you will see how big distance is between Vinius and Ural.

I was just contemplating a little... Would not it make more practical/economic sense to have a standard-gauge "light" diesel train connection Bialystok-Kaunas? At least, until a standard-gauge line Kaunas-Vilnius (a part of the Rail Baltica project) comes into existence ... It would be cheaper, that transfer at Mockava could be eliminated, the stop during the change of direction at Suwalki could be reduced, as the crew would just move to the other side of the train, and both Bialystok and Kaunas are relatively busy crossing stations, so it should not be that difficult to find some useful connections in both of them...

Poland is located in Central Europe, not Eastern Europe. Great video btw.

I get the fact that you want to present the authentic train experience and the journey as if the watcher was there and I salute that initiative. However, as a train enthusiast myself, I could not give a lesser fuck about when a line was constructed, who constructed, where it goes and all that. I can imagine the general public looking to see how the service is like will be even more so distant to this kind of things.

1) I like the way you make your videos. Lot's of info and no irritating face in sight 2) the views would be nicer in spring/summer as riding in the dark is never a pleasant thing and 3) do not put white text over maps. Unreadable!

Your "production method" is perfect. Don't change it! Ignore the "snarky comments." Super job! One question, though, that I have wanted to ask: where are you from? Clearly former USSR, but "otkuda?"
