When I got my first cell phone, I played all of these thinking they were like 5 cents or something each. Then I charged my dad's credit card for $100 and he yelled at me. He took the phone and I never played any GTA mobile Helicopter Snake games again.
I have such a vivid memory of trying to get Sims 3 to work on my shitty flip-phone around 2009-2010. One of my friends had it, so I asked him to send me the .exe file via Bluetooth. As expected, I never got it to work. I remember being super upset about it and asked my parents for a new flip-phone just because I couldn't get this shitty java game to work. Luckily they didn't get me one
Yeah, good times indeed. I remember once a very smart-ass guy opened a shop by the other side of the street, just next to the house I lived in, and "sold" Java games to schoolers. Basically, that's what he did: he took the phone, connected it to the pc he had there and downloaded a file with the game you wanted. The price was approximately 1 dollan per game (by that time that was 35 rubles or so). And it was all shit. Stinky, stinky shit. Even worse than that you've just seen. Now, however, I just wonder, how much money did one make before his shop got closed... Good times.

Back then when I had a Nokia, it included a CD with the program Nokia PC Suite. The software could transfer music, images, java games, etc., from the Pc to my Nokia. So, I found this website that had a lot of java games and themes for those old phones. I downloaded the files and installed a bunch of good and dubious games on my phone like Super Mario Planet lol. The only good or half-decent games that I enjoyed playing were Soul of Darkness, the Darkest Fear Trilogy and God of War Betrayal.
Oh heck. Last weekend I watched a saved video of part 1 while I was over at my parent's place (They have no Wifi) on repeat. This is like a prayer being answered :D

I remember playing a Moto GP 2 game, another one based on the 2003 Hulk movie that always crashed at the second level, and an Ice Age 2 game with Scrat. Weird collection, but I thought they were okay at the time.
I remember playing the shit out of these games back in 2008... I used to pay ~1 Euro a month from a shady WAP website and got access to a shit load of J2ME games, ringtones, wallpapers, and music (at like 64kbps LMAO). Ah good old memories...

I remember that chuck norris game, i just got my new iphone 3g back then after transitioning from nokia n73 and its one of the first few games i have on the iphone. I remember one of the features is that you can swap the enemy faces with anyone you took with your camera. Also the loading screen of the game are filled with shitty chuck norris jokes lol. Tbf chuck norris meme was really popular at that time
Oh, a couple of small funny things: there's a number of russian and chinese knock-offs of other phone games among the J2ME library. Be wary. Be SURE to try Cyberpunk: Arasaka's Plot.
@@kurisuchiinathecrocodile333 they vary. there's some really bad ones, specially among the russian ones (due to being shallow reskins), and the chinese ones are often misleading (like the "devil may cry" being nothing like DMC)

I remember playing Sims 2 Java back in the day, incredibly limited with barely any customization to sims. Still, having a functional Sims game on a phone was kinda cool
