My grandma was sharp enough back in the day to know which games we wanted. Our Christmas present was goddamn Super Mario 64 and WCW/nWo Revenge. One is a time-tested classic; the other was a fun wrestling game. And prior to that we got SNES turbo controllers. I'm willing to bet that she saw my brother and I play vidya all the time, and talked to Mom about Christmas presents. She also spent a lot of time with us back then. The moral of the story is, not all grandma presents are disappointing.

I delivered papers when I was in grade 7. The week I joined there was a contest for a game console called the _______ 60. I won. The initial assumption I had was that I won an xbox 360 and I was fervently excited to buy new games for it. To my disappointment it was a console completely unknown to me, "The Wireless 60" but I knew it was trash. I had to put on the most artifical smile for the newspaper company as they took my photo with me holding the console. To this day it remains in my closet, unopened.

My favourite part of bowling is when Dr. Breen farts on the pins.

I had a far worse wii knockoff that was a ticket prize from an amusement park.
