@@flingariobohij7963 Well, on a mild September day in 2001, a plane died and the world became very sad and decided to never depict planes in media again for about three years until we all felt better.
I was at a friends house and watched him play Perfect Weapon. This was when I was a kid and I could never find the name of it when I got older. Thank you Vinny for answering the age old question, “what was that boring ass game”.
Mark my words, the PS1 aesthetic's only gonna get even more popular over time. It's just the right amount of "distinct enough to be timeless" and "poorly aged enough to be funny."
I've been waiting for early 3D games to become the new retro. Pixel art has been so overdone for so long and I have been really happy to see more PS1 looking themed games the past year, I hope we get way more.
Idk, but I really love the look of the low polygon counts and warped textures. I almost wanna see some brand new games for PS1, it did have the very best console port of Doom.
@@jeffmillett7332 Honestly I sorta used to think 16-bit art styles weren't appreciated enough but over the past few years it does seem overdone now especially in indie games
It's weird indeed. Everywhere I comment, people tell me how much they love me and my videos. Sometimes it is annoying. But right now it would be okay. So say something nice about my content, dear pana
11:20 Vinny: (Reads chat) Will the playthrough of this game be a charity incentive? Vinny: (To the chat) Alright, listen to my character and he'll give you the answer Skinner: YES! XD
I wanted to make the Playstation logo with a 'V' instead of a 'P' for potential future splash screens and just never got around to it. I was a little bummed to see someone did my idea before me because I was too slow lol. But this just means we got so much quality fan work coming in so it's actually a good thing, competition will push me to work faster and better to make fun art for Vinny to have no shortage of splash screens and intros.
Ever since the "Capussi" incident, I'm convinced any content Vinny is in or produced by/for him is going to be of the highest quality possible, and his intros are a true testament of that.
@@TobiasWhisperwind Sorry to disappoint, but it was all done in editing. At least the intro graphic itself, which isn't too hard if one basically copies the original beat by beat. Also helps that the PS1 intro is pretty simple by itself. The PS2 one was quite challenging already when I did that one for the Budget Titles video. i.imgur.com/OHfVrM7.png I then sent the video out multiple times via composite (would take too long to explain, but I basically got a box that lets me do that effortlessly) and captured it whilst wiggling cables. i.imgur.com/3qmFPrG.png I then took the "best" parts and rendered it out with audio and all. At least no consoles were harmed in the making of it haha If I wasn't so lazy, I possibly could make a video detailing how it was done exactly, but hopefully that explains it sufficently. 😄 Should also explain that Seb Tee did edit this highlight video on their own, I did the intro months prior just for funsies.
Perfect Weapon looks like an absolute nightmare. When the very first screen of the game is enough to confuse you to the point of rage, somebody done hecked up. Even in Bubsy 3D, at least you can say that you can MOVE at all times. (Not very well, but still.)
“Current date; unknown. Current location; unknown. Time and place mean nothing in this alien land...” If they don’t mean anything to you then why document them...?
I'm just a plain jane Drew Crew member who doesn't watch that much vinesauce but this video was splendid 8:48 also is vinny a norm macdonald fan? if so that's awesome
Next time you play a collection of PS1 games, may I recommend taking a look at "Rock 'em, Sock 'em, Robots Arena"? It's a fighting game based off of the Rock 'em Sock 'em robots toy, where the original red and blue robots are "retired" and commentate over the matches the "new" robots fight in. I could not for the life of me, find the names of the voice actors though. It was developed by Paradox development and published by Mattel Interactive. My favorite thing about the game was being able to customize the fighter you chose with body parts from the other fighters you fought. Attacks were tied to the individual body parts as well, so instead of trying to remember how to do the attacks for a specific character, you'd have to remember how to do the attacks with each characters body part. It was made easier by the fact that Square and Triangle were attacks with the arms, Circle was for attacks with the body, and X was for attacks with the legs. Also, inside the matches themselves, there was individual limb damage, so if you did enough damage to the opponents right arm, it could fall off mid-match. If you knocked an opponents limb off, you unlocked it for free in the customization area. If you destroyed the opponents torso, you got their legs the same way. Destroying the opponents head was an instant KO. If you played through the Career Mode, every character would get upgraded parts, so every fighter had 2 sets of limbs for you to use (excluding torso, just new arms and legs). Even if you just watch the opening cinematic and play 1-2 quick fights, I'd love to see you play it. Hell, I'd be down to see you corrupt it too.
Was that seriously Rem Lazar in Killing Zone? How? Why? Also, it frustrates me that Vinny gets so caught up in his rambling that he doesn't even comment on the wannabe-tough guy protagonist just juggling. Still, neat video! Thanks for uploading!
god, i was that kid who had Perfect Dark. i was so angry because no matter what i couldn't ever get far, the furthest i ever made it was level 2.. i just always thought i was just really bad.
I spent so much time playing the Mary-Kate and Ashley game as a kid because I was at the mercy of what my parents bought me. I entirely forgot about it until now.
5:02 I had a dream about a game exactly like this but with dinosaurs and for some reason it was called "Abominable Keys" and all the tracks were purple
If Stu had Tommy, and then had Dil _3 Months later_ , that would mean Dil is scientific wonder; seeing as DeeDee would have to have gotten pregnant with Dil3 months into her pregnancy with TOmmy...🤔
"BEACHYUARRP" - Killing Zone Guy, 1996 Fighting games that came out the same year as Killing Zone: Tekken 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 1 and 2's PS1 ports Virtua Fighter 3 and King of Fighters '96 in arcades Last Bronx and Virtua Fighter 2 on Saturn (no good fighting games came out on N64 except Fighter's Destiny but whatever) Why would ANYONE have ever bought that pile of garbage?
