I know what Sniper 2 is. They were trying to go for something like _D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die._ Basically it's a Japanese attempt at making a video game that's like what they think American television dramas like _House_ or _Dexter_ or _Monk_ or _NCIS_ some other better example of a show I don't know about because I don't want a lot of tv are like. The reason they keep rolling the credits at the end of every few cutscenes or missions and play the intro at the beginning of every mission, is that they're trying to make it feel like watching an episode of a tv show.

He missed the best from D3: The original Earth Defense Force. That series is - no joke - absolutely fantastic. It's newest mainline entry is EDF 5, which is nearly perfection. Yes, the graphics are simple (these are pretty much the same models as on the PS2). Yes, the writing and voice acting is phenominally bad, to the point of being perfect. But the core gameplay loop is so good. Kill tons upon tons of enemies. Punch discount Godzilla in the face a million times per second. Flatten entire cities before the aliens have that chance. It is perfect. Bonus: It is pretty much on a constant discount since noone plays it. **frowing emoji**

Simple 2000, the series of releases that brought us Earth Defense Force.

The PS2 was known for its superior 3D graphics a literal upgrade from PS1 and how simple and easy was to go gaming with it, just a CD with lots of space. Many good games like Devil May Cry 3, Medal of honor and Guitar Hero. Strangely enough it required a memory card just like the N64 and it wasn't until PS3 that games fully saved without the need for external devices, luckily no one will ever want to save this Budget titles on their memory cards.
