Besides it being on the 3DS, I'm actually really interested in Samus Returns because it's making a lot of good changes to the 2D formula. At the moment, I don't really care at all about Prime 4. The 3D-modeled graphics aren't as striking or aesthetic as Super, Fusion, Zero Mission, and AM2R, but the game-play looks great.

Monster Hunter XX isn't coming to 3DS NA from what I can tell, but it is being released on PC and Switch I think. Though it's just a port.

I hope Nintendo isn't blowing their load early like they did with the Wii. I mean within a few months we'll already have the new main series Mario title. Metroid Prime 4 likely in 2018, and the a new Pokemon game. Judging by its sales the Switch will have a very long life span. I hope N can keep up this momentum at least for the next few years, and not repeat the mistakes of the Wii.

We're going to need a new F-Zero and Mother 3 in order to keep this momentum going in the next couple of years. Hmmm...a great Star Fox and another Donkey King Country would be great too. Punch-Out seems like it could make a return too now that Nintendo utilized the motion controls for ARMS. The possibilities are endless!

The reason we haven't seen a new F-Zero, is because they admitted they don't know what to do with it. Plus FAST RMX kind of fills the gap for now atleast. Mother 3 would be good, but I wouldn't call that a system seller. I wish they announced more ports of Wii U games. Mario 3D World, Smash 4, Captain Toad. So many great games that will likely fall into obscurity one day because of the Wii U's failure. Virtual Console support is something I would have liked to see. They may have held off on that because of the delay for their new online service.

David Maglioli, Man, if they recreate Super Mario 3D World in the next few years, or create a new game using a similar level structure, but give Mario the same move-set as in Super Mario Odyssey (minus Cappy and decrease the power of some of his jumps if necessary), add even more characters, and focus more on creative stuff never before seen and callbacks that don't feel overdone and/or shallow... ...then I will be very happy.

really though Vinny's and Joel's reactions were great, I'm excited to hear they're expanding on the whole Sylux thing, maybe by the time we get a Smash 5 Sylux will be a character. Super excited for odyssey. All Vinny needs to do is keep playing Animals crossing near the end of E3, and then he needs to play a AC fan game and on the 15th and bam New Animal Crossing.

God damn the Sony and Nintendo conferences made me so fucking excited. We got an AMAZING looking Monster Hunter game coming to Xbox, PS4, and PC, and the new Mario that looks pretty damn fun. Not to mention a brand-new 2D Metroid game, and even a new Metroid Prime. Nintendo and Capcom, you glorious bastards. Best E3 in a long time for me.

Vinny's reactions to new Metroid games were really heartwarming. The genuine excitement in his voice reminds me of what games are about. It's so difficult not to be jaded and cynical in the current industry. I wish I were a bigger Nintendo fan or that Nintendo would just become a software developer. P.S. Vinny can you please play Tales of Vesperia, Resonance of Fate, or Digital Devil Saga before TGS so I can get a game I want too? I need your power! Or maybe Custom Robo since it may be be a bit more up your alley, and a new Custom Robo on Switch would be swell.

24:03 Even after the many years I've listened to Vinny, it's always amusing to go back and remember that he has indeed always hated lyrics in video game-related music. Don't know what it is, but he gets actually grossed out with this stuff. Which is ironic, given that he's in a band, a singer no less, yet absolutely hates lyrics in video game music. It's not even a slight distaste either. It sounds like it's a visceral reaction. Find a clip of any time game music has lyrics and he reacts very, very strongly. Almost like you locked him in a room and started violently scratching a chalk board. Imagine an artist who can't appreciate art.
