The second game was a collab and references a bunch of older flash creators including The Super Flash Bros who made The Decline of Video Games series, John & Richie who made the Perfect Kirby series, and TheLegendaryFrog who made the Ark & Kerrigan series for those that were curious.
I'm so glad to see someone else who remembers Decline of Video Gaming and Ark and Kerrigan. Also it's super weird to hear Arin Hanson's like 17 year old voice acting in Decline.

I can't say for sure, but there probably isn't much for him to say. His boss probably just came up to him and said they were either downsizing or going out of business and so he needed to find another job. Though maybe he could talk about his experience after he lost his job
yeah true. mine wasn't a very exciting story either, the company got bought out by a larger corporation, and they had to do renovations. they hired a lot of us back, but not everyone
Oddly I got hired into my first job during the 2008 financial crash, went jobless for about eleven months in 2011 and 2012, then quit the job I got in 2012 just this year because I was being mistreated.
Sorry to hear about that. 2020 is taking an enormous shht on everyone and everything. About Vinny, I think he's said his old job was an editor for a local TV station or something? If you look at his very earliest uploads on his regular vinesauce (not Fullsauce) channel some of them are the goofy stuff he made for a public access channel, uploaded in 2010 but they were made around 2008 apparently (one video home to an immortal line, "You're out, I'm in, the people want more Vin!"). I see a lot of people say his oldest streams he sounded depressed (like, actually so, not in the "Depressed Vinny meme" way), which if so I can imagine the stresses on his plate. And long since is doing better now due to being lucky enough to make a steady living off of streaming.

A wave of nostalgia came over me while watching this stream. Our house didn't have many video games growing up, so all we had were games on the PC. I'll never forget the hours I've spent coming across and playing through hundreds of flash games. Andkon, Miniclip, MarioSonicGames, hell, even Disney Channel and Nick had some cool games: you will be remembered. ❤️
I discovered EBF3 right at the point in my childhood where I was getting into video games, but before I'd played or really heard of any other RPGs. As such it basically filled the role in my life that the actual Final Fantasy games probably filled for EBF's creator... trippy to think about. Also, I'll throw my shitty opinion out and say that 4 and 5 are better games, but the music peaked at 3.
I'd never heard of the Henry Stickman games but I found that incredibly entertaining. Clever game design with absurdist humor that actually landed. I'd love to see Vinny go through them to see all the jokes and references. The funniest bit was the 360 no-scope accident, that actually made me howl with laughter which is pretty rare.
I've always thought the Henry Stickmin games were just terrible stickman games beloved only because of nostalgia (which, there is nothing wrong with that. I love tons of games that are bad). I fully admit I was wrong and just bought the collection on Steam.
On several occasions during this I was like "Someone will tell him" about something or other. Then noone would tell him. The most notable being Epic Battle Fantasy has a Steam Port
Other than Getting Over It, Bennett Foddy also made a few flash games after QWOP, including GIRP and CLOP, which are a similar concept but a bit more fun in my opinion.

If I had a nickel for every time Vinny played a flash game based on a visual novel on stream, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
One flash game series that I really like is the Submachine series. It is a point-and-click series by an artist in Poland named Mateusz Skutnik and he does really nice artwork (digital-ish artwork for the games as well as beautiful watercolor art). The first game is just a simple/small "click through the rooms and solve the puzzles" game, but in Submachine 2 and beyond, the story starts to develop and the world opens up and I think it ended up being a really cool series with a neat story!
I know I'm late by 2 years, but still, vinny, you gave me so much nostolgia off of all your flash games streams to the point where I currently know how to play most of my favorite flash games.. Thank you for the nostolgia so hard I personally found out on my own how to play some of these games..

Seeing Vinny really getting into Fleeing the Complex was heartwarming, and I'm not that big of a Henry fan And speaking of, N is absolutely godlike. But I like the original version better, no music makes it very zen imo There's a lot to cover, so instead I'll just say if you're interested at all in Flash games and Flash game history I _mighty_ recommend the YT channel Two Left Thumbs, because well. He does an excellent job at that

I mean, I know that he jokes about his memory being shit, but I didn't think it was real. After all, it only took 30 seconds for him to completely forget.
The version of Henry Stickmin on steam is not just a remastered version of every game, it has several different ending paths in a game called "completing the mission" that are really, REALLY worth the money. The creator of this game basically spent three years working on it almost entirely on his own, there's just so much love put into the game.

Being reminded of that Flash will die in December 31st is making me a bit somber. I have great memories of being part of the era of flash animations and games, and then not so good memories along the way. So I'm having conflicting emotions about its demise, though I must admit - those were overall pretty good times. For all it mattered, it was available. And ultimately fun. So long, Adobe Flash.
