After seeing this, some feedback I could feel is relevant is that this mod does too much to outright stop you from playing the game. Chaos is still something you can typically react to at the very least, but many of the effects here such as "stop", "go back a level" and "no saving" are not things you can really react to but instead outright penalties that take you out of the moment. Though I know this could've been fixed if the configuration file worked, the amount of effects stacking and their frequency was a bit too much as well. The Half Life 1 randomizer/chaos edition that Joel played some time ago was a good example of balancing chaotic elements to react to while never outright penalizing or taking control away.
The need for speed most wanted chaos mod also has these bullshit sort of effects (inverted steering but it inverts every time you steer is one of the effects, another one is just 50% throttle (aka literally unplayable because you go like 1km/day with that)) but this is just on another level of bullshit,no saving, going back one level, and the stop effect making you be completely unable to move (a death sentence in the middle of combat) I get that it is funny the first few times but like if it happens more than once it gets old
@@Xenthio MMOD has an ingame options menu (for its custom options), I think even that Overcharged mod has an ingame options menu, so it's definitely doable.
He should check the gta 5 one, I think it's funnier and more stable since gta 5 is harder to break plus it has the most support and options. It doesn't have to be a full playthrough, 1-2 hours once should be enough.
This is just,,, idk. Out of all the chaos type things I've seen this feels kind of bland I love seeing Vinny play it but it's almost too tame in many ways and overly punishing and limiting in others
