Although it would be "win the lottery while getting struck by lightning" levels of improbable, the randomizer could theoretically randomize it so that everything is in its original place. That would be 10x more amazing than anything. But i guess if it did, we wouldnt know cause we would think its broken.
My interpretation of the "story": Hundreds of years ago, an eldritch old god attacked the entire population of the universe. Some surviving aliens fled to Earth, where the Golem people used their geomancy and rock-based technology to create large spaces underground for the remaining people to survive. All light seen is just the fourth-dimensional limbs of this vast entity, and the remaining aliens have survived solely because they are so insignificant they don't warrant destruction. Most of the organic life on earth is dead, with the trees being made of scrap metal. In order to enforce order, the Golems created a T-1000-esque race of liquid robots to act as a police force.nThe trillions of casualties during the war were used to create furniture and other objects, as they were in abundance. Because Gordon is so far underground, he experiences constant auditorial hallucinations. Some of these tie into his PTSD while others are of premonitions from the elder god above, who has dark plans for Gordon as shown in the opening scene.
Not that anyone cares but the line is: _"There is only one Hedy"_ Dr. Kleiner named his headcrab "Hedy Lamarr" after the actress, but you usually hear the Lamarr part only in-game. Queue in: "We named the dog Indiana." (I would say it's not really flattering to name a de-beaked alien parasite after a fairly pretty actress back in her prime days, but I seen acquaintances name there pets after actresses, so I'm not surprised.)
Lamarr's name is actually a reference to Hedley Lamarr from Blazing Saddles. Every character kept calling him 'Heddy' and he'd go out of his way correcting people by angrily saying 'it's Hedley!' Also Heddy is a play on words for Heady, since Headcrabs go on your head :')
Connor Wilson Well, the thing is we had two weeks and a day of break because of a holiday here in Mexico, it's all good, that way i can waste my last day wayching Vinesauce
TheGreatSaiyaman Alan aah ok that makes more sense, I'm still really jealous you got a break for so long though. Over in America we had a 1 week break.
Something about Barney's "I can't look" line while the airship flies by at 18:56 tickles me in such a profound way. It's like he's expressing our collective thoughts about the mess of a game before us within the game itself.
+Unscripted "A disturbing and profound experience that probes the deepest recesses of the human psyche, exploring themes of power, fear, lust, isolation and regret."
Man Vinny's streams have been late recently, I keep falling asleep during them. Thank you so much for uploading all your videos to RU-vid so I can at least follow up and watch them Vinny
What if Ross Scott did this during Freeman's Mind 2 as a sort of nightmare that Gordon has, like the non-canon ending he did at the end of Half Life where Gordon ended up in a dimension of G-Man abominations
+lucas 2014 Brito Cruz Everyday... I sleep to Vinny/Joel's voice. I literally pick up my phone and I get super excited in the begining of the streams but always end up sleeping... :s Is this weird? lol
mosh Nah, it actually happens to me too. I like the streams a lot and watch 'em when I can, but it eventually becomes white noise to sleep to if I try to watch the stream really late.
i highly prefer glitch life better. it can fuck with the physics and entitydata along with the textures and sounds, and then resets them for each new map.
imagine you were gordon , after fighting through black mesa, you get put into stasis for 20 something years, then you wake up probably expecting something normal. but then you get this.
In this world, everything on Earth was almost completely destroyed when the Sun got close to the planet. The little bit of humanity left moved to Antarctica, where they built an area sealed off from the rest of Earth complete with artificial trees and an artificial Sun.
10:00 Vinny: "I still haven't figured out any story." Dr. Breen: "I warned you this was futile." You should enable software rendering and use r_draworder 1.
38:08 "Gordon Freeman!" *"RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!"* 40:12 "I think I was just killed by the game's boxart." "Good catch!" 41:50 _Stops the Antlion Wars iteration without teleporting to a map where antlions are encountered_
i did this and got double shotgun shot as footsteps and that first breencast as cant use. i also got "about that beer i owed ya" as the AR2 shoot sound.
Maybe this is what it's like when people say they hear voices in their head, just an overwhelming amount of people speaking really loudly until you go insane, holy shit DOCTOR PLEASE
The recurring theme of rock & metal life forms is actually foreshadowing that the music industry is evolving into a species. What we know as Caucasian, African, Hispanic etc. becomes Rock, Metal and Stone, a new genre of music, a metaphor of the trippiness that the world has been cursed with, The Stone Roses was formed as a warning of these unforeseen consequences, which brings us to the info landmark, located in the anti mass test chamber, in episode two we learn that the gman warned Eli about the resonance cascade, the gman is the embodiment of The Stone Roses band, the resonance cascade was actually the birth of the stone genre the human tissue being used as rugs, doors and other materials suggests that our species was wiped out by these genres, who after that went at war with the ant lions, the ant lions are mutated insects and animals! At last the world was decimated, everything disappearing at the end of this stream is another metaphor, showcasing the aftermath of the worlds end
One of my favorite things was in the garage in Episode Two there was this voice just going "Car!" in this weird monotone over and over, like he's playing the world's most boring game of I Spy.
