Recognized the graphical style from lost in vivo instantly, glad to see kira is still killing it based off the steam reviews so far.

The moment he said this was made by the same devs as Spooky's House of Jumpscares and Lost in Vivo, my interest was elevated tremendously. It also made the anime girls and artstyle make much more sense immediately.

I'm looking forward to where the game goes from here. For Early Access, it has more than enough content for you to get a good feel for it. You can tell that the dev was inspired by several different RPGs based on the menu aesthetics, level up mechanic, and some of the map designs. I took two steps into the lower sewer section and it immediately reminded me of the Underworks of Vivec from Morrowind.

Nice to see you play this game! It is definitely worth people's attention and time in my opinion. You are right though, you definitely skipped over a bunch of it by blitzing through areas instead of exploring them. To find every weapon and fully upgrade them, find every spell, and scour every area can take a good 6-8 hours or more depending on how quick you are, and that will likely still leave some secrets and easter eggs to discover. Definitely not a bare-bones early-access title by any means, barring the skeletons. The game can indeed be quite slow at first, but that's why the SPD stat is there, though it does sacrifice the other benefits you could have from levelling the other stats instead. INT lowers cast times, so you'll want to level that up to really go wild with the Wind Dash ability you found. You can literally fly across the maps if you spam it. There's also another spell in the game that increases walk speed for a duration, can stack, and is practically free to cast, so the game does have options for it's deliberately slow walk speed if it bothers you.

I instantly bought this game after knowing the premise of this being inspired by old fromsoft games which I wanna get into.

I'm all for making new games like this. This looks awesome, I've only recently been watching King's Field streams but so far this seems like it's got a lot of potential to be a great somewhat updated take on them. I'd love to see this do well and maybe even spurn a resurgence of games like this.

I think one thing I'd like to see from this game as it develops is a little more sophisticated combat mechanics (just because you're emulating Kings Field doesn't mean you need to emulate all its limitations) and maybe just a few boss fights here and there at the end of certain areas (end of Fetid Mire felt like it could have used one) just to give a sense of completion to certain sections of the game. Otherwise I think it has the start of something really special here.

The artistic disparity between the FromSoft inspiration and the anime demon girls is a bit strange, but for some reason, it works for me. I had a moment where I laughed out loud upon seeing the player character portraits, but I kinda like the weird juxtaposition of cute and unsettling elements. Reminds me of Kingdom Hearts, just a little bit.

This game is great, I put maybe 12+ hours into the current Early Access version, exploring all the areas and getting all the items and secrets, looking forward to more.

This game is tight, I bought it awhile back because I heard good word of mouth and I ended up playing it for 7 hours straight. The fact that a little indie game like this has 7 hours of content before it's even fully finished is incredible, and it feels like a smoother, more modernized version of King's Field/Shadow Tower, full of obscure secrets and huge unique areas to explore. Vinny actually didn't see quite a few of the areas. Lunacid also has some of the smoothest, best feeling controller movement and aiming I've ever experienced. I couldn't recommend it enough for just $7.

This reminds me of kings field, the early fromsoft games that came before the souls games

I’m so bummed by the waifu art stuff in this game. It has a lot of potential though

I do love me some demon waifus... but its incredibly unfitting for this game. Also "Large open areas with slow walk speed" and basically nothing going on is one of the things that made the original ff14 terrible. That's just bad game design; not an opinion. If the dev is reading this.. you really have to fix that to make it succesful.

Purple and Red menus is a little deviantart tumblr it looks kinda cringe but this is technically a quality made video game.

The first NPC you see: 3:53 The second NPC you see: 23:12 I have never refunded a game faster. I have nothing against cute anime demon girls but Jesus Christ what the fuck is art direction. I have never been so jarringly ripped out of my immersion in a game before. There was such a strong atmosphere going for Lunacid and then it takes a shit all over the modicum of cohesion it had in the first five minutes. If you absolutely have to shoehorn a stupid anime girl into your game that's clearly not going for an anime-inspired visual style, then make her like an easter egg or something. Also those character creation portraits look like dog vomit, if those aren't placeholders then they're irredeemable. Like 4 different art styles are clashing with each other, none of them are good, and there's no synergy between them. A six-year-old could genuinely do a better job. Disappointed, as a huge fan of King's Field.
