How did no one submit the goddamn Yakuza 7 bread loaf?! It's not even anything special, it's just goddamn plain bread, but the animation work on it, jesus christ.
Vinny should do a 2 hours segment that's just him eating a Tubby Custard while watching and ranking every Teletubbies episodes (definitely not a torture stream)
The latest segment of the Vinesauce Food Review saga. I hope this culminates into Vinny doing a cooking video of his own, after all it is the 10 year anniversary of "Cooking With Vinesauce"
17:25 that burger looks like the kind of burgers you'd find at those weirdo challenge restaurants that advertise stuff like "if you can eat this whole 50 pound burger in 30 minutes, you get free meals for life" or something. They always have such awful names too, like CRAZY JEFF'S SLOPPY FUCK BURGER
i'm so upset that no one submitted Neopets food. if Vinny acted like that when exposed to Webkinz food, i think he might genuinely cry over Neopets food.
Star fragments are based off of Japanese candy which is why they were included. If you’ve watched Spirited Away it’s what she feeds to the coal soot mites
@@jackpumpoen They made a lot of things exclusive to deluxe members. I couldn’t play my favorite childhood games without paying money. Also, there’s a lot of bugs that they never fixed.
Food is often inconsequential in non-cooking games (either just replenish health or micro buffs) which is also why I love when devs let us customize and cook what we want. I know selecting a balanced meal that looks good and is something my irl palette would enjoy does nothing for my character, but it’s just a small amount of player expression that I like.
Opinions on ffXV can be divisive, but i think it's pretty objective that the food in that game is some of the best looking there was at the time. The devs actually cooked some of it and did some 3D scans.
I’ve never played a Yakuza game, but that was definitely fugu sashimi, made from blowfish. It’s one of the most dangerous foods to prepare, only master chefs are allowed to make it because the fish is full of deadly poison and you have to cut around it. It’s insanely expensive and to just shovel it into your mouth like that is quite a power move.
4:11 It's really satisfying seeing the state of the food as it's being eaten in such high detail. Almost makes you feel like you're eating it yourself.
29:08 there is a common Japanese candy that is just little sugar crystal-y things shaped like that, so that is actually a real thing. They also appear in Spirited Away when Lin feeds the soot sprites with those candies. Edit- I looked it up and it's called Konpeito
I always wondered just how Mario's mushroom tastes like. After all, it's a thick, juicy looking red headed mushroom! One can't help NOT to think about it!
58:06 That would be the "Sinner's Sandwich" from Deadly Premonition. It's actually not bad. The lack of Sonic Unleashed in this compilation is disappointing; that game had one of the best sandwiches 9n the 360, not to mention all the ice cream, chili dogs, and other foods
Animal Crossing star fragments look like konpeitō, which is akin to Japanese rock candy. And as a lover of rock candy, I keep konpeitō on hand year round because it's a delicious and crunchy quick sweet-tooth kicker that doesn't make my old body feel like trash.
"Man going from FF15 to FF14 sure is something huh." FF14 is an MMO, and at one time was infamous for having background elements like flower pots with more polygons than their own character models, meaning it made large groups of people playing together impossible due to memory problems. I don't blame them for scaling it down these days, even if it means some crusty food.
22:00 The grape incident became a big meme at the time. In one of the short stories they release on the website, an important character is described as saving grapes from a volcanic eruption, which made for good additional meme fuel.
19:43 cool to hear vinny talk about Di Fara's again, when I went to new york a couple years ago I went since he recommended it on stream and it was the best damn pizza I've ever had
I love that you're doing this not because it's cool (it is), trending, relevant, or any other reason that it's just something you found interesting and decided to share it with your audience. My #1 favorite aspect of vinesauce is that it is always authentic content and this absolutely delivers. :vineClap:
33:02 That is a Wasteland Omelet! Crafted with Blam!Co Mac and Cheese, a Crunchy Mutfruit, a Radscorpion egg, and Mirelurk meat! (So yes, those are claws sticking out of it )
I think the reason resi 2's burger looks like that is simply cause the guy eating it held it in such a way that all the grease and cheese were pushed out. You can see it from how smooshed the bread looks
Holy SHIT! I highly doubt anyone else will recognize this one, so let me identify the freaky martini at 50:03 Its in-game name is “Stuffed Tequila”, and it’s from a mobile game called “Monster Chef”. Don’t let the mobile aspect of it fool you though, because it’s a phenomenal game with none of the micro transaction bullshit we’ve come to hate. You collect monsters and ingredients and then make different foods, figuring out recipes on your own and then sell your creations to the public. Just trust me, this is one of those hidden gems that’s absolutely a blast, I must’ve played it for a year before finally growing tired of it after running out of content. Please check it out; last I checked, it was free!
28:23 That’s a Jelly Frog, and yeah, Cookie Run! Cookie Run is wild, almost everyone and everything in CR is food! Cookie Run is a mobile infinite runner franchise developed by DevSisters. Jelly Frogs are obstacles and enemies you encounter in the games. Someone one should’ve shown Vinny the guild meal “An Effort Was Made”, it’s easily the worst food in Cookie Run: Ovenbreak
I have a feeling this will need a part 2 just for all the people angrily submitting stuff people didn't submit for the first video. The whole Kirby series for example.
vanillaware always make amazing looking food. Especially love the noodles and sushi in Muramasa, that jiggles like succulent robertsons as you eat them.
It looks like a restaurant burg that was cooked rare, and then got abandoned, so the juices from the meat softened the bread under it and it's turning into a gloop.
So mario galaxy's food galaxies reminded me of an SCP that constantly builds new "rooms" and keeps expanding, and a story around it is a ship full of travellers dive into deep space and soon ffind copies of our solar system with minor changes and as they go further and further it gets more and more chaotic and one off these copies was just all food, everything was food
I swear Monster Hunter is like... On Ghibli Levels of food detail and beauty. They went ALL OUT!! Looks so damn good. I mean look at that detail on the food 10:41....
somehow i didnt think this was gonna be entertaining to me since video game food doesnt like catch my eye but this was so entertaining i want more. give us more vinny
When Vinny says the white label simple black text stuff is a reference to repo man it could also be a reference to They Live where after MC puts on the glasses and sees the world as it actually is the logos and text looks like that also
That omelette with claws is Rose's Wasteland Omelette from fallout new vegas, made with Deatchlaw Egg, Lakelurk Meat, Crunchy Mutfruit, and Blamco Mac & Cheese.
I wish someone had included the "Block Meal" from Super Paper Mario in this for him to evaluate. It is just a block of glass on a plate with some lime on the side, what's not to like?
The New Vegas omelet is "Wasteland Omelet", crafted with: Blamco Mac & Cheese + Crunchy Mutfruit + Deathclaw egg + Lakelurk meat. I believe the hands are tiny deathclaw hands. This was probably an amusing joke made by the developers because players will never find the item placed as a physical object, they will only find and use it through the inventory system, but it can be dropped to see what the model looks like and people rarely bother doing that with most items.
Hell I've been playing New Vegas for over a decade now and I've never seen that one before. Pretty funny to imagine the tiny deathclaw hands are from the unhatched baby in the egg you cooked.
Cook serve delicious 2 and 3 have some of the best looking food art, I especially like that it's built up from scratch as you assemble it. I love the ramen, bipimbaps (whatever they're called), bunny chow, pho, pizzas of course, and oh my god the desserts look amazing, the dessert shooters, pies, ice cream, donuts, they all just look incredible.
...For anyone still wondering, pumpkin spice actually has little to do with actual pumpkin. It's the "Spices" you put into pumpkin pie- so cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger (sometimes allspice), maybe sugar will be included, maybe it's held as seperate... you get the idea.
