In LTTP Randomizer, you can tell if a dungeon has a crystal by the music. If you get the Light World dungeon music, it's a pendant. If you get the Dark World dungeon music, it's a crystal.

I don't have the same feeling for open-world Zelda as you do. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I would actually be very sad if there is no more linear Zelda... I am autistic, so big open world games are EXTREMELY overwhelming, confusing, and difficult for me to handle and I do not do well with them at all. It took me 5 YEARS to finish Breath of the Wild, and although I did end up enjoying it well enough, it was indeed very overwhelming/confusing for me. I am honestly kind of scared to play Tears of the Kingdom, that it will be even MORE overwhelming, and I personally wish that it WOULD go back to linear. I LIKE linearity and structure! Zelda is my favorite game series, and ALTTP and OoT are two of my favorite games of all time, so it would be really sad to me if my favorite series turns into something that I just can't handle or enjoy any more...

i understand the hesitance of delving too much into things that might come off as too real and depressing, especially in a context where people are just here for a chill time. and ultimately, personal boundaries should be top priority. that said, vin has always been really good at exemplifying an honest, mindful perspective on the ambivalent nuances of life. and i don't expect it from him, but each time he is that way i always appreciate it
