In this video I restored an adjustable wrench :)

I got this adjustable wrench from the junkyard and and thought that it would be very restoration worthy. I have no idea why anybody would throw this away, so I guess I had a lucky day :)
It opened pretty well and was just a little scratchy, but everything was covered up with mud. I started with disassembling and cleaned the small parts first with the wire brush on the power drill and by hand. For the screw I just used scotch brite after using the wire brush on it.
For the start I cleaned the big part with water and soap and brushed it with the wire brush on the power drill. I decided to file the whole thing first and then clean the inner part of the wrench.
First I cleaned the edges of the cuts which were on the inner part and were partially covering the engraving. Then I started cleaning the inner surface with a mix of salt and sodium hydrogen carbonate and wire brush. The steel was very dirty, but that stuff did a very good job. After scotch briting the inner surface sanded the whole thing from 80 to 1500 grit and polished it afterwards with two different compunds.
After polishing I filled the cuts on the inner surface and after letting it dry I removed the filler from the engraving. Painting time: I sprayed 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of copper painting. Reassembling and that is it!
I hope you liked the video! Thank you for watching and feel free to leave a comment and subscribe if you liked :)
Until next time :)
