Haha, i rarely played catcher during my amateur Baseball/ Softball career...smile. Very happy to have picked up this old glove from a french seller. Thanks for watching Jim and Have a great week.
Wow, what a great piece of baseball history. I love antique sporting equipment, I am going to see myself for fun what I can find out and I will let you know if I can find anything out.. have you tried it on?
i love this catcher's mitt. During WWI and WWII many US soldiers were in France and in order to keep theirs moral , the US Army sent many sports stuffs in Europe. In France quite a lots of people collecting militeria stuffs but very few collecting "US military" sports vintage stuffs : thoses facts give me some opportunities to pickups some pretty sweet items. Thanks for watching and have a great rest of week.
That's definitely an early one there. That's a sweet looking mitt but I definitely wouldn't of wanted to try to catch with it. Thanks for sharing the mitt and the card Fabien. Congratulations on a great addition to your collection. Take care and happy hobbying my friend.
The letters on the glove look very old. Perhaps someone in semi-pro baseball used it or even MLB! I believe the auto is real. I have that card signed as well. He signed for that company.
Hello Henry ; i love this old mitt glove. About the auto i am not sure at 100 % the auto is real because i some card like this without an auto...Thanks for watching my friend and have a great week-end.
That is a beautiful glove. I know nothing about catcher mitts, but wow is that nice. I believe your Yogi Berra auto is real. I’ve seen those before at shows and the autograph was touted as authentic by the sellers. Much the best!
Hello Shawn, vety happy to have picked up in my country this very old mitt glove. About the Yogi Berra i don't know if the auto is real, so many fake autos about the HOF players...Thanks for watching my friend and Happy Collecting.
Looking at the glove, I am amazing at home the players were able to catch with that glove. Modern glove make catching a lot easier. The glove looks even better paired with the Berra. Thanks for sharing.
Totaly agree with you Diego, it is amazing how the old players were able to play with this old vintage stuff ! The modern gloves look more easier and efficient. Thanks for watching my friend and have a great day.
Hello, yeah totaly agree with you : How could anyone catch anything with that glove ? This glove was made in the 1930's or 1940's and during "his youngness" maybe the leather of this glove was more fexible ! Thanks for watching and have a great week.
Hello Mark; sorry about my bargain english. In the video i would to said : i purchased this very old glove to a french seller. Thanks for watching and have a great sunday .
