In this restoration video we take this beautiful hand plane and restore it to better than brand new style. Now I admit I know jack about hand planes and have never used one but I've always loved the simplicity of the tool and how long they have been around. this one may end up as a paper weight but at least its a good looking paper weight. I didn't bother much with the blade because the current blade is no longer straight, so sharpening it seemed pointless, so I'm just going to order a new one. additionally, I wanted to keep some vintage feel to it so I left the the red Dunlap logo back color as is rather than repainting it.
