This is what it looked like, pre-war, to go out to the countryside for hunting, fishing and wildcamping. Nowadays, the outdoors is choked with 4WD vehicles, and us 2WD drivers are looked down on, like we have no business there! Greetings from the Mojave Desert.

My new favorite motor sport. My bone head friends can be part of the team. I have navigated some traction sparse trails, mud is the worst, because I stay away from ice.

Real cars are meant to be driven - NOT permanently parked in some mausoleum. Clean it up later and it will be as good as new.

@@A_Bit_of_Thought Clean it up later and find you have broken spring shackles, ruined seat springs, torn upholstery, broken rear axle, and who knows what else. I am not amused.

@@JellyrollHorton All those things can be repaired. Sometimes the repairs can take a bit of effort and be a bit expensive - but the car owners understand that. Real cars are meant to be driven - not permanently parked in some mausoleum.

I like there is reasonable gender equality in this sport, teams of all men, mixed and all women. We need more women in motorsport. Also nice that Prince Harry had a go at 2.35.

You cannot really tell from the video just how steep these hills are. Some are so steep you would struggle to walk up them , and don't forget they do not have very chunky tyres, or very much horsepower by modern standards.. Seeing these events first hand is quite an eye opener.

Farmers loved them 7 or8 years after their day they made great tow cars before the advent of pickups and light 4WD

Take a lot more than that to harm an A model. I know . I briutalised one for a number of years when i was young. They were amazing. And put a set of chains on and they took some stopping
