40 years ago, Tomy Pocket Games were the bomb! I have fond memories of these. They were the equivalent of game apps on your smart phone or tablet device today.

For sure, how times have changed, still great fun though.

For kids nowadays: these were the equivalent of your latest "hot mobile app" of the late 70s and early 80s; back in those days teachers were confiscating these handhelds if you played with it during class; super fun, colorful, collectables and didnt make your eyes red like today's LCDs 😂
@JulesBurt

Absolutely, the apps of their day, priceless memories playing with mine at school👍🙂

You have made me super happy with this video, these games were my favorites in my childhood, I loved them and I was always looking for new games everywhere. I am from Spain, and here the manufacturer of these games was the extinct company Geyper, from Valencia, licensed by Tomy . Thank you very much for uploading this video that has brought back such wonderful memories for me when watching it!

I had the turn the wheel with your finger magnetic car race one. I was a hero in my classroom when I showed it off. It was like Pop Rocks level awesome. Like having a grip of cinnamon lollypops your mom made and handing them out in class. I loved how they felt in the hand. Very phone like.

Jules Burt aye, unfortunately Royal Mail decided to sign for the parcel themselves and leave it on the doorstep ‘for safety reasons’, and it safely got nicked. Very peed off about that. :( We’re not bloody America, here we give parcels to people, not bloody doors. And I can’t for the life of me see how to complain or ask for any compensation on their website, neither.

Hey Jules, this is James Masters - you may remember sending some of the US ones my way in the past. I've got almost all the USA ones now - just 2 or 3 still to obtain. And dozens of Japanese ones. Your collection of UK ones is better than mine - some of my packets are a bit scruffy but yours look in amazing nick! Great video.
@JulesBurt

Oh course I remember you James! A pioneer in UK Pocketeers knowledge! Amazing progress on all those USA issues, I've only got a handful🙂 The UK ones are available but patience is the key in upgrading your collection 👍

@peachjackson3856
@peachjackson3856 Год назад
Thanks so much for the reply! Nope, it’s not a windup. It’s a huge spiraling loop ending in a little “clam” in the center which you operate with a switch to catch the balls. If that makes sense. It must be a weird version of another game though, you’re totally right.
