George from ImagiNERDing shares some amazing and vintage photos of the interiors of the Treehouse villas from Walt Disney World from 1983. These one-of-a-kind images showcase the living room, kitchen, bedroom and lower level of the Treehouse Villas at Disney World.
Special thanks to Chad Stevenson for allowing me to use these photos. Chad's father took these photos of the Treehouse Villas and he had a great eye for capturing what the villas were like.
The Treehouse Villas became part of the Disney Vacation Club since 2009. Before that, they were part of the original plans of the Lake Buena Vista Community.
Originally, the 1973 plans for the Lake Buena Vista Community called for a residential development with four different community themes based on: golf; tennis; boating; and western (equestrian) activities. In 1974, 133 townhomes and 4 model homes were built. The following year, Disney announced a retirement community, additional townhomes and residential apartments for Lake Buena Vista. The 60 Treehouse homes (now called treehouse villas) were finished by 1975.
But things changed!
