Doing another vintage shave today with the Wilkinson Sword Sticky Razor. This razor was made from 1968 to the mid 70’s I’ve been told. Trying it out for the first time today.

The Sticky is my favorite razor. And I've tried a lot of vintage Gillettes -- including the Toggle -- as well as modern DE razors.

Sir, nice shave. You are experienced and great shaver. Maximum time you use new razors and it works great to you. My bad luck - Only two razors (Merkur 33 and EJ DE89) works great to me. Any other razor give cut or irritation !!! Oh... Sir, excuse me I share my poor experience with you !! Thanks for your video

Nice shave Ken💈💈 Credit given for using untested products on screen😲 The Wilkinson Sword soap stick just needed more application and water with a longer lathering time. It really does work good given the chance. The razor probably works better with a modern blade, like your Gillette Wilkies😉 Gaming get together looked like a hoot. Congrats on the namesake brush, I'll bet they sell quick. Enjoy!

Hi Ken, still using the Slim adjustable (after watching your video on this). Just bought my own sticky and can't wait for it to arrive. Not sure whether its been mentioned but the sticky was designed by another Ken (Kenneth Grange, a famous British product designer).

I have the same challenge with the Wilkinson stick when I try to face lather. It dries up so fast. I like to take my time with the shave, but with it I have to hurry... Great scent, though

Wilkinson Sword is rather poor in my opinion. Hard to lather and not very thick lather and dissipates too quickly.

I've been using creams the same way recently.. just take a little and rub it all over my face, then face lather. Works like a charm.

Hey Ken, what a great video, very entertaining. The shave stick didn’t get the job done and the blades are really horrible. No wonder, both products are on the cheap side. I really was wondering that you were going to use this pretty crappy Wilkinson Sword shave stick. Hope you will not do it again. The razor itself looked as it would perform not bad. You only need to put the right blades in it. Guess an Astra Blade would do it already. Can’t wait for you to get your subscription give away on the way. Man, you’re really tough. Great video! I bought a sticky last week off of eBay. I’m still waiting for it to arrive. Unfortunately, it was closer to the $45 price than the $10 you paid, but what the heck. It’s only money. I’ve heard good things about this razor, and I’m looking forward to its first use.

Great video Ken. That soap's performance was horrible and those Wilkinson Sword blades suck. You should have used the Gillette Wilkinson Swords that you have instead of the German ones. That game expose was awesome and it was really cool seeing the back to the future car and R2D2 from Star Wars.

I gave myself a pretty good nick yesterday for the first time. I will be purchasing an alum block soon. Quick question, if you nicked yourself pretty good, to you continue to shave over it or wait until it's fully healed? Also, a great video as always!

Thank you for replying. I have used their classic barber scent. It is a slick tallow based soap and lathers great. If you ever end up trying it, I would be curious on your take. Thanks again, take care!
