I am picking up vintage cars at a faster rate than I can get them ready to run! Must be the timing. I found this lovely example on eBay and I couldn't pass it up. *correction* In the video, I had mentioned the Worlds Car uses the same material as the Team Car chassis. This is not true - the Worlds Car uses a stronger alloy than the Team Car. This is what allowed them to mill out the chassis without sacrificing structural rigidity.

Great video! This is all the info i have been looking for to convert my rc10 to new wheels.

The negative offset of the new wheels is to put the center of the tire over the kingpin resulting in less scrub as the tires pivot. On high traction tracks this will be faster.

I bought one of these Worlds cars in 1995, and I still have it , for someone reason I kept the box and also purchased the DS conversion kit and a mustang wide body for carpet racing though it never took off-it prettymuch died right after i got into it at least in my area. I think its a pretty dam nice car considering the number of parts I havent had to replace, the only thing I didnt like much was the bearings I burned up while racing-not to mention number of rear tires I turned into slicks. I started out with a 10T Triple Kinwald adjustable timing motor, smoked 2 battery packs before deciding that was too much motor.

The world's car kits never had white nylon suspension arms, they were black composite from day 1. AE stopped manufacturing w/ white nylon all together after that and used black composite even on their bushing equipped RC10CE and RC10ST kits

I have a late Champ edition Stealth "black and white" car. The chassis wears a C stamp.

Longer arms provide lower roll center adjustments, better for smoother and higher traction tracks.

Had one, loved it, never should have gotten rid of it. Why is it rare now? They dominated in the 90s just like the gold pan did in the 80s. Lots of people ran them. Did they all get used up?

They were rare when I made the video, which was before the Worlds Car was re-released, I guess mostly because you just couldn't buy one and had to look for them on eBay or Craigslist. Since then, AE re-released the Worlds Car, although the re-re wasn't an exact copy and had worse parts quality (steering rack was very soft, gearbox didn't even fit together right, etc.). They discontinued the re-re either last year or the year before (can't remember), but you can still get plenty of vintage RC10 parts.

doctormosfet yeah, I've heard the rc10 really releases have slightly different chassis etc. Why not just duplicate the original?, Why change the formulas and materials?

So as not to devalue the original.
