Lol - The blank recipe cards you called vintage were used at my wedding shower 30 years ago. I just love this idea. Have a family wedding this year and wasn't sure what to give them.
I love this. At first I wasn’t sure but as you flipped through it I fell in love with it. I love the old recipe cards. I have some of my mother-in-laws I need to dig out. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Hi! I just realized I missed a bunch of YT comments and I'm going back and answering them--even though yours was weeks ago! :D I always want to answer all comments and questions! Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment! I appreciate it so much!!! xoxo Amy :)
Hey there! I have done ephemera kits occasionally, but they are time consuming to pull together and also to shop for the pieces! I also don't get to estate sales much, so I often pay retail for ephemera which makes it hard to make any profit on them! Not to mention I already have too many things on my plate and probably need to scale back on the number of things I offer! 🤣 I appreciate the suggestion, though!! Hope all is well with you!! 🤗❤❤❤❤
Hi, Sheree! I just realized I missed a bunch of YT comments and I'm going back and answering them--even though yours was weeks ago! :D I always want to answer all comments and questions! Thank you for stopping by and leaving your nice comment! xoxo Amy :)
OH Amy!!!! How perfect for me!!! Need to head over to Pinterest! Love the bright blue fabric with fruit on it!!! Looks like vintage oilcloth! Sandy ❤❤❤❤❤
Such a sweet creation! Perfect for those of us with a bit of "sewing in the signatures" journal anxiety (ha-ha)! A bit of a trip down memory lane because lots of these items were from my childhood! Thank you for another enjoyable video and project share!
Great job Amy! My brother-in-law is a realtor and I was looking on custom housewarming gifts I could make for him. I apologize for this question, but could you tell me why one shouldn’t use sewing pattern images?!
Thank you, Alexandra! I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about that! I just meant that we are not supposed to use photocopies of the illustrations on sewing pattern envelopes because they are still under copyright. It is fine to cut the original images from envelopes, but not make copies of them. And that really just applies if you are selling items. So, for example, when I make my sewing pattern envelope covers for my Kittydori junk journals, I use an actual sewing pattern envelope, not a copy. Please let me know if you have any questions!! 🤗💗💕💗💕💗
Thank you so much, Eunice! That is just an image I found on Pinterest!! Maybe search for "vintage canister illustrations" or "vintage kitchen"! Thank you for watching! 🤗💖💖💖
Love, love love your work. Thank you so much for sharing. When you say you are "printing off of Pinterest"......can I ask what type of printer you are using/ have?
Hi Tracie!! Thank you SO much!! So when I print an image from Pinterest, I first click the image, then once it opens, I right click on it and save the image to a file on my computer. When I want to print it out, I just add the image to a Word document! I usually add a bunch of images to a Word doc so I don't waste paper and then I print it out! I just have a basic Brother printer. Nothing fancy. Please let me know if that doesn't answer your question!! xoxo Amy :)
Hi Sharon! I printed the actual sizes! For the one I turned into a shaker, I resized that to about 4x6 inches. That particular box top was one of the printables in the Printable Kitchen Ephemera Set and was originally about 3x4 if I recall correctly! Please let me know if you have any other questions!! 🤗💕💕💕💕
I just had to make a Simplicity Pattern journal for my twin sister and me because my Aunt Pearl worked at a Simplicity Factory in Niles, Michigan. We would go visit her and she would have sacks of them for Mom to sew for all of us. I just loved those you did. Now I am going to have to do one of these ring journals. It is absolutely adorable. It reminds me of my Mom's era and mine, too. My best friend's Dad worked all of his life delivering milk to peoples homes. Love those milk caps. I have a problem in that I do not know how to do digital prints. I have tried but maybe my computer wont allow them or I have not been able to figure it out. Do you ever send them out on paper and charge for it that way? I love so many of them you have in your store.
Hi Madilyn! Thank you for sharing your sweet stories!! I don't actually sell the digital printables in my Etsy shop. I buy them from other Etsy shops! Most shops have instructions on how to get the files onto your computer or will help you if you have trouble. There are several steps involved, including downloading the images from the page where you see what you bought (there will be a button next to the item that says Download Files). After you click that, it downloads to your computer and you should see it on your bottom toolbar on your computer screen. Not sure if Mac computers work that way or not, if that's what you have. Then you click on your toolbar where it downloaded to open it up and then you save it to the file you want on your computer so you can easily find it. Hope you will be able to make it work!! 🤗💗💗💗💗
Hi! I always print color on matte photo paper! I like Staples brand Ultra Premium Matte Photo Paper and Canon Matte Photo Paper. It really makes a big difference! Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you for watching!! 🤗❤❤❤
