Today we're restoring a vintage Dunlap 10 inch pipe wrench.
Dunlap was one of Sears' "budget" brands for tools, basically a step below Craftsman.
I'll remove the rust from the tool with Evaporust, clean it and paint it to bring it back to the state is was when it left the factory in the 1930's.

Funny, I was just thinking last night I want to restore a few large pipe wrenchs that i have. I'm told Coke will work as well as evaporust.

I've never tried it myself. Should be enough acidity in there to take the rust off.

Looks great! I suspected that the used evaporust would contaminate the unused stuff so I never mixed the two either.

Thanks! Yeah and you won't know that it's gone bad until the next time you try to use it.

That wrench design is a Stillson Wrench. I am somewhat surprised you did not mention that. Given the content of your channel may I suggest a segment on the Walworth Manufacturing company and Stillson. New Stillson wrenches seem to still be available outside North America. I have a nice collection of Stillson wrenches from eight inch to 36. When I needed the 36” wrenches I saw no reason to purchase new when I could purchase used at a fraction the price. I have a 24 or so inch cam type pipe wrench I have never use and I do not believe has a manufacturers name on it. It’s old probably early 20th Century.

Thanks! I'll add Walworth & Stillson to the list. I picked up a used 36" a few years ago. Used it once to straighten out a twisted sign post.
