I've been single-threading through all my beads twice, then using a double surgeon's knot with a dab of glue, then tucking the knot inside a bead. Your method is so much simpler, faster, and at least as secure, if not more so! I love the elegance of the flatter, elongated knot. Definitely going to try it your way!

Thank you, Charisse. Yes, it's a nice easy piece. It actually became my favourite piece of all the pieces I made from that Deco the Halls pack.

That’s a great idea Carol thank you so much I will definitely try that because the beads with the small holes on them you just can’t double up on the string and I’m afraid if we don’t double up on them they’re gonna break but I do try to put a bunch of knots in it to secure it and glue on top of the knot. But thank you for that suggestion I will definitely try it thank you so much have a great day. And I did watch your valentine video really enjoyed it

Love your videos. I have learned so much from you. Thank you. You have such an instinct for what is beautiful. I struggle with that, but look to you and others for inspiration. Thanks again.

Thank you so much, Kim. Design is always quite challenging. I've just filmed a video on my design process, letting you inside my head (not pretty!). That should be out tomorrow so keep an eye out for that. You'll see in the video that I struggle too. It takes time and sometimes you need to ruminate on it for a bit. I also look to others for inspiration - Pinterest is amazing.

Thanks Carol. I recently made a stretch bracelet for my little granddaughter.. I used that slippery elastic and tied a million knots. As soon as I slipped it over her wrist it burst apart. I couldn’t believe it! Why is that sloppy one better than the one you used and why did the pink one shed? I do like stretch bracelets as they are so easy to put on.😊
@The_Stylish_Maker
@The_Stylish_Maker 4 месяца назад
I've never used a "sloppy" elastic so I probably can't give you much insight. This is the one that I would use if I hadn't used the pink one. amzn.to/3T07yVn

Hi Lynette, I'm glad you like my videos. I had a look on Amazon and this is the closest I could find. amzn.to/3OQnDKO The beads I used all came as part of the Soft Flex kit so I don't have individual suppliers for them.

How can I use the big eye needle without breaking
@The_Stylish_Maker
@The_Stylish_Maker 4 месяца назад
That's a great question, Sue Anna. I find that you need to be waring of the elastic getting caught in the end of the needle. When I first started using them I used to break them all the time. They don't last very long, it's just the nature of them. I think they break more quickly if the holes in the beads are small so that the thread has difficulty getting through them. I kind of pull the elastic out of the end every few beads. I hope that helps.
@rhondalovett8538
@rhondalovett8538 4 месяца назад
Hi there I thought I would jump in on this I do have trouble with the big eye needle is there another needle out there that is stronger that you can use for the smaller beads like size 5678. I’ve just been threatening the elastic through it by hand
@The_Stylish_Maker
@The_Stylish_Maker 4 месяца назад
Great question@@rhondalovett8538 . I haven't found one. You can use a piece of tiger tail folded in half but I think that would be thicker than the needle. If you are having trouble with the 4 strings going through the beads (the needle goes through but not the elastic) try using opening one end of the needle and putting it in the loop. Then you can remove the needle without any issue.

Interesting…what made you decide to lump the pears to one end?
@The_Stylish_Maker
@The_Stylish_Maker 4 месяца назад
I'm not really sure. It just kind of looked right. I approach bracelets like I do necklaces often where there is a focal part and a non-focal part. The pearls are the non-focal part.

@@The_Stylish_Maker That makes sense! The beautiful part of jewellery design is that there aren’t really an rules…you can go based on what strikes your fancy, and what you have in your stash!

That's exactly right. Even if there were rules, I probably wouldn't follow them anyway :)!

Can you please send a picture or a better description of the 0.6 stretchy wire you’re using for this bracelet and where I can get it I have a 1 mm/.039 inch 5 mm 16.4 stretch magic bead and jewelry cord that I found on Amazon and I am thinking it’s the right one but do you sell what you’re using. I don’t see a real good description of this cord on your site thank you so much I really enjoy you you’re so thorough

HI Rhonda, as I said in the video, I wouldn't use that pink one if I was making the bracelet to wear because that elastic shreds really easily. Here's a link to the one that I would use. amzn.to/3T07yVn
