Really fun video, I definitely enjoyed it! Loved that Captain Planet costume and it was amazing seeing those carded Thundercats figures! I'm a huge Thundercats fan and I had a lot of the original toys when I was little, but it's hard to remember them because I was so young. Thanks for sharing such a great video!
This one speaks to me for a couple of reasons. Firstly because the shop is in my home town & it's literally like a 5 min drive away from my house & secondly because I heard about the Palitoy landfill back in like '86 first hand from my Uncle who used to work there. He once brought me 2 bags full of loose Starwars figures & I always remember my Mum asking how/why he had so many. The answer was because they were about to be destroyed, so the employees had the opportunity to take some home. Btw, he also said that the landfill site was near (the then) Granby Halls. Dunno, hopefully somebody with a lot of time and/or money can do something with than info & locate the buried treasure. Anyway, cool video, man.
I had so much of this stuff. Sectaurs Dargon Flyer, ghostbusters,Thundercats,Visionaries vehicles, Supernaturals, Rock Lord's,Manta Force,MOTU and Space Wars so many great memories.
Another great video man. It is an outrage you didn't grab up that Metlar for me! Ha. Also, Jason is such a nice guy, is always awesome to me at the toy fairs.
I've been trying to get to visit this place for ages, one of the best toyshop going! Also been a massive supporter of Andy since he started his RU-vid channel.. Tell him he owes me a dead eye duck 😉
Seriously, toy companies, if you want to make money, do like Mattel, make an "origins" of ALL the toy lines you had in the 80s. Visionaries, Bravestarr, Toxic Crusaders, Inhumanoids, Cops N Crooks. They WILL sell, all us collectors want these, but paying todays prices for old toys is bonkers.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut I had quite a few of them toys when I was a kid, kept seeing some appear in this video. I thought omg no way they are worth so much 😢😭🤣
Was hoping you would go there. Seems like such an awesome shop, too bad you didn't get to see Joe and Gav, maybe they were "On Tour". They have that cool Buck Rogers set with the walkie-talkies and the big Twiki. I was lucky to pick up the Twiki alone on E-bay. Again, hope to run into you guys in Chicago....
Awesome video dude would love to check out this store sometime, love classic vintage toys dude like street sharks TMNT and real ghostbusters great work 😎👍🏻
really enjoyed this one shame joe and gav wasnt there but remco warlord are great have you checked out zoloworld figures they use the same molds and do some great figures
WOW this episode gave me some real flashbacks i had some of those sky commanders figures but forgot all about them until this episode along with spotting a few other bootleg carded figures in the vid hiding away, what a series!
What a great video. I've never seen you so excited before. Looked like you had a total toy sensory overload. And no wonder, Joe and Gav run a truly amazing shop. I always enjoy their toy shop tours and last years toy shop on tour episodes were great to watch during lockdown. Keep the content coming.
Once again you boys have made my evening here in Eire, left the movies to find this video Gotta love the universe sometimes Keep it coming toy brothers😎 Also watch the Northman it’s awesome
I asked a few weeks ago about GR and you mentioned this episode. So great to finally seeing the Galaxy Rangers and so many other amazing toys, like that Mecha Street Sharks figure
ED thx for showing me so much toys stores in Europe.I heard of the stores but your platform takes us on a toy tour persistently.Stay keeping this Retro old school ball rolling man thx so much.
I'm really impressed with the selection of Starcom and Mighty max. Both loose and packaged samples. Sure these lines did come out in the USA, but you rarely see them here from toy dealers. Probably just not the scale of things you guys collect. Back in the day these pocket toys made for grand adventure play with monsters troops and transports.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut Yeah in retrospect mighty max kind reminds me Aestheticly between masters of the universe and Sega mega drive/ Genesis games like the ooze and Sonic spinball. I had so many of the now very rare sets as a kid. Battle warrior cyber skull and Terror Talon.
Holy sh*t, Ive had this memory of a scifi kinda cartoon i watched as a kid but could never find it as I thought it was Odessey something . Apparently its Ulysses! hhaha thnx
Ed that Mecha Street Shark is Jawsome! I had to say it, i had one back in my buy sell days please dont ask what happened to him but now im just buy hopefully ill cross paths with another one. Your Dino riders shirt is awesome!!!
Damn good finds i wish there were retro toy shops in my area it really takes traveling a long distance too anything like that like several hours gaww the perks of living in a country town
Nice Visionaries Dagger Assault! That's the one piece I'm still missing from my collection. It's so expensive, but even more than that, it's impossible to find it complete. Awesome to see a boxed one in nice condition! Such an under-appreciated line.
Good channel bud! 😉👍… I was 8-9 when my parents brought me the whole first wave of DINORIDERS & they were all put back in their original mint condition boxes after a very short time… do you how much they would be worth?
@@clintyoung6851 well they’re late 80s if they’re with the boxes and no broken parts they’d do pretty good. They could go up but also down 😅 you never know
The Rambo figure that is supposedly banned you mentioned. Is he valuable? I recently found him complete I think. Whats his name? Whats he worth? They are asking $50 for him. Should I pick him up? I don't collect Rambo but do resell valuable figs if price is right.
its a interesting point the guy was making about girls keeping their toy saved, cause thats the first time i hear this argument myself. it might be a cultural thing but as far as i know my sister and all her friends at the time sold all their toys off fairly early on at fleamarkets already. to add to this argument their is this study that suggests that the reason girls grow up faster compared to men (and men never really mature completely lets be honest here :P ) and the main reason they get rid of their toys early, is cause most of girls toys revolve around emulating something a adult eventually does, so their barbie dolls they dress up, are they themselves that do that, and the plastic play kitchen and barbie dreamhouse, becomes a brickbuild house, and the baby doll toy, becomes a real one. its a bit old fashioned way of looking at it of course but thats the general consences taken from whats average. also the reason men keep playing with their toys since they never become the toys they play with (at least most dont)
I think the toyline would have benefitted more if the figures had light up features. A light inside the figures would have made the translucent plastic look cooler. Even a sound feature would have drawn more attention and we would have gotten expanses of the line.
