This was a dual purpose day to see the Vintage Trains "Blackpool Illuminations" railtour as well as back some Northern 319s before their impending withdrawal.
This video has two sections, the first covers the clips of 37418 and 47773 working the Vintage Trains railtour from Birmingham to Blackpool and back, first seen at Poulton-Le-Fylde, then at Kirkham & Wesham, and finally absolutely thrashing through Acton Bridge in the late evening.
The second part shows a couple of clips of Northern 319s on Liverpool-Blackpool services which are, as of the time of writing, the most common movements ran by 319s. The units are soon to be withdrawn pending the exchange of 3-car with 4-car 331 units between the North West and Yorkshire depots. Whilst the date of their withdrawal is yet to be decided/announced, it is likely this was my last chance to ride them and whilst I'm glad they're going - they are a load of fun to use as a trainspotter.
Finally, the trip out was my first with the new Google Pixel 8 Pro so we can now enjoy some 4k60fps content!
