I have one of those! Coincidentally, I painted mine blue too. Pretty unique little saw. You did a great job getting rid of those casting marks, makes the paint job stand out. And I liked the demo’s at the end.

My local Ace Hardware has them in stock. I sometimes use my vintage handle when a hacksaw won’t work. Nice job as always! Love the artwork decal.

I must be a maniac. I don’t have any pistol grip saws. I have one Stanley in line saw handle that attaches to hacksaw blades. Your clean up and painting of the handles worked out great. They are perfectly matched. Take care buddy. Thanks for your information and support.

I have only one of these saws, Allway but "modern" design like you show at the end. I purchased this new many decades ago. Nice job on the cleanup and restoration. Ben did a terrific job on the decals. Dave.

HAAA. I'm a MANIAC who hasn't got a single Pistol Grip Hand Saw ! I suppose they do exist here in England, but I've never seen one in my 69 years here on earth. I have to say, they look very handy - I must look out for one. Great restore Magdad 🙂

I had no clue Allway Handy Saws are still being made and you can get replacement blades for a Saw that is about 90 yrs old .. You would look at the Allway handy Saw and would think it came from a Child's tool kit you got for Christmas back in the 50s and 60s that had real working tools that could inflict serious damage to your parents home ask me how i know LOL .. Ben did a great job making the Allway decal and the restoration came out great with a nice history lesson .. Take care and enjoy your Sunday BTW like to see another fishing video

Great video, great restoration as always. I never had much luck with those things. I guess I only reached for these saws as a last resort, in desperate situations. I seem to remember some bent blades, a lot of profanity and a few thrown tools. It would look pretty cool on the pegboard, however.

By coincidence, I needed a saw of that design for a special project yesterday. I'd given up searching when I reached into a toolbox for something else when one stabbed me in the hand. The sharp tips would probably desirable for starting a cut into something soft. My hand couldn't have been what the designer had in mind.

Magdad, Nice restoration! I enjoyed the video as always. Instead of bending the handle with heat, did you consider setting up the handle in the vise, similar to ScoutCrafter and his Dake? You should be able to produce sufficient pressure in the vise.

Thanks Robert. The handle had a crack in it so I opted for heat to give it the best chance not to break while bending it back into shape.

You must have some collection😊 I've been a mechanic for 50 years🎉 I retired 2020 when I did I gave my children my tools😢 sockets and wrenches from 5.5 to two inches😢 cutting tools screwdrivers, special tools impact wrenches air ratchets ignition tools dwell and timing tools❤ but the best tools I ever owned what is an adjustable wrench my Leatherman Wave some bailing wire and some good tape😅 when my car broke down😊
