Back in the days (80’s)I had the fake one; die cast metal. The lion Voltron has real metal legs, but the fake one was good too because it came with the weapons and sword unlike the real one which did not come with anything extra.
The Korean LionBot had all the weapons from the Japanese one that Matchbox couldn't import due to child safety laws in America. Would love to pick up a Korean Knock off one, they still make em and have em' on eBay regularly.
It's like finding a well preserved ship wreck in deep waters. You got a real steal for it's condition! I too grew up on Voltron. Then some time ago, I came across the original Japanese version of the show "Beast King GoLion." Watching the original anime reminds me why I loved Voltron as a kid. It also reminds me why they had to tune down the voilence from the anime as well.
Now YOU KNOW that I had to show up for this premiere! ✊🏿✌🏿🙏🏿😁😁😁😁 I was wondering how much did you pay for that original Lionforce Voltron & how much do the original Vehicle Voltron’s are going for now?
Got lucky on this one. Got it for $80 shipped on Facebook. Ones in this condition go for minimum $200. Usually Original Lionforces go for $200-$400 depending on the condition loose. Mint in Box is $800=$1000 Vehicle team goes for $200-$300 loose depending on condition. Mint in box is $650-$800
That lionforce Voltron looks great! When my money is better, I'm seriously thinking about getting a vehicle force Voltron for my collector's case. What do you think about the recent G1 Transformers reissues?
You should also get into 2nd and third party transformers at least the movie ones, as they’re much better when it comes to paint jobs, articulation, screen accuracy, and overall quality. Plus they’re much cheaper.
Hey, how do you release the arms? I've got the red with a spring that won't connect and the green won't come off. It's been 40 years so I can't quite remember after pulling this out for my kids. Mine is in this great of shape, but missing the heads. As kids lose things.
I used to hold the shoulder of the Black Lion and pull on the tails of the red and green lions to get them off the body. But with these toys being 40 years old they're real brittle and the springs are worn out, .I'm afraid of breaking the plastic so I keep mine formed as Voltron Most people lost the red and green lion heads back in the 80s. The pegs were brittle back then and broke easily.
@@ShawnSJames Yup, I lost my heads too. I'm considering buying them from one of these 3D printer folks and trying to paint them. I'm just glad my 6 year old is enjoying it as much as I did. I even found the original season so he knows how cool it is. :)
