I like what you said about “snooty” collectors... Prince shows up all the time in your videos and I don’t blame you at all... Wow! The Wall surprised me... That CD from Israel reminded me of a party I went to once with a bunch of Indian physicians... NM should be NM... Loved the “belly dance” music... I have a few Sheffield Labs direct to disc LPs, didn’t know the history so thanks for the info... I’ll pick up that Shawn Phillips LP next time I see a copy... Actually, I liked that clip of Berio’s Sinfonia... Enjoyed hanging out with you, felt right at home.
Hey, Topper! You're the second person that's said they dig that Berio Sinfonia! See...acquired tastes. Music enough for everyone! That Indian Physicians party sound cool. Shawn Phillips stuff is really cool. I think you'll dig it. Thanks for watching and commenting. Appreciate that, and the positive feedback. Skol! Jeff
Thanks! Really appreciate the feedback. And appreciate you watching and commenting! Just saw that you have your own Vinyl Tag posted. Gonna check it out now... Skol! Jeff
Hi Jeff, nice job, I have yet to do this but glad you did. I liked the sound of that John Eaton LP. Cool story on that CD from Israel. Those are the fun stories of life. You got a nice recording set up, much better than my phone lol.
Hey, Steve! Thanks, appreciate it! My wife is away visiting family for the week, so I have the run of the place. The "studio" will probably be dismantled once she returns :) Skol! Jeff
It’s a artist called Saharni album is Najwa Karam. Or maybe the other way around. Released in 2003. There’s a great app called Soundhound. It can find anything !!!
Herbie Mann gave a concert at my college in 1968. The Claude King album photo copied a TV commercial of the '60s with Barbara Feldon on a tiger skin. There are other similar album covers. I always thought the "eyes" on Columbia labels were speakers. I've only seen them called eyes since Ebay started. I've never seen that Claude King album so it must be a real collectable. I have Sammy's album cover but no record.
Hey, Tim! Super cool seeing Herbie Mann live. Thanks for sharing detail on the Claude King album. I love learning those little details. And, yeah...what ARE the "eyes" on the Columbia labels? Speakers? Microphones? They're rather enigmatic. It is "officially" stated anywhere. I'm curious. Thanks for watching and commenting. Greatly appreciated! Skol, Jeff
