My Half Price Books would never have an Aretha marked that low! Moreover, I can believe that Chet Baker score! I don't find Craft records at my Half Price Books either and I paid full price for that one. That Price Box looks pretty damn cool and I think you're right about his albums being growers. I am glad the estate is releasing stuff from the vaults. $4.00 for Pink Floyd?!? That's insane. That's a pride dig regardless of the condition. I know people that would charge more than $4.00 for the jacket alone. Loved your coolest cover art selection and I've never seen that Jackie Gleason record. Never received VCLT??? Hmm...that needs to be remedied!
It was a great mix of questions, Paul. I enjoyed the tag. Being new to the Milwaukee area it's been really fun - sometimes frustrating - digging in the local stores. Frustrating: hardly any classical. Lot's of overpriced records in poor condition (especially at Half Price Books). Fun: unexpected finds like the Chet Baker and Aretha albums. Things overlooked by the price point setters at Half Price Books. And bargain gems like the DSOTM. I'm finding that particular Exclusive Co. store does a lot of that...low priced or even free gems (will show some of those in an upcoming video). It's a nice practice - taking care of customers like that, and it feels good. If anyone wants to remedy the VCLT situation at Tone In Grooves...it will certainly be welcomed and appreciated. It's kind of one those awkward things about the VC, in my opinion. Seems to be some negativity thrown at people who are perceived as soliciting VCLT. Definitely not something that I want to do, or even give the impression of doing. At the same time, there's so much generosity in the VC. And it feels good to give VCLT and bless others with good music. I can speak from experience on that point. I have seen that some channels post their mailing and email addresses - which I suppose makes giving VCLT easier to do. That was great but what was the music in the background? Sounded familiar and as you mentioned medieval few times I got that vibe from it. I'm a bargain hunter too and you showed DSOTM $4 that is rare and i recall the debate about taking a chance irrespective of scratches. You took the gamble and it paid off :-)

How many Christian Cock Rock vinyls are there I wonder. I pick them up if I see them, but only if a dollar, amusing covers. Although with zillions of schisms in this genre of Monotheism are they heretics? Fictitious Sports stronger than folks tend to think, Wyatt and Swallow on it which gave it some ooh la la, not sure I'd buy it, but worth a listen. Name of the Rose, solid film. Well rated back in 80ish when it came out, we all flocked to see it on the large screen. With your hoodie you could have had a part!
