you know the score. if you can manage another one. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Thanks to Rob Walker for grabbing the bull by the horns.

Hi Martin, always great to see your doing a video, nice, "sexy" stories. Dark ambient jazz, interesting soundind album after quick sampling, one of their album name seems to be Funeral Jazz:) cheers, petri.

Hey Petri, great to hear from you too. Funeral Jazz? Yes that's a good description. I'll be popping to your channel today.

Hey Martin - Ha ha. I still can't believe that 2013 was ten years ago! I used to have white jeans, 35 years ago. Wet Leg has appeared in a few tag videos, meaning that I should probably get a copy. Concrete Blonde is a good choice. I enjoyed the video 🙂 👍

Hi Brian, glad you enjoyed it I guess that's the idea. The white jeans were borrowed from what I recall. I'm unrecognisable from how I looked then (hair mainly, I had lots). I think you'd like Wet Leg they are catchy songs and fun, you'd get it. Will they be a one album/one trick pony? Hmmmmmm..... Are Concrete Blonde known in the US much? I only recall Brandon Mr Hall of Fame showing them - which is unsurprising as he near enough has every record known to man 😉😂 interesting guy though. 2013 yeah about the time I started making record videos on RU-vid 😲 these new people eh? I don't reckon they'll last ........

@@Thevinylscavenger Concrete Blonde was fairly well know where I am, probably because we had a very progressive radio station. I have only one of their records on vinyl, though. I should have more. Johnette has quite the voice!

I didn't use a list for my video because I knew the question by the album. I'm unfamiliar with Nightwish. I had some white jeans that I would wear to paisley underground gigs in the 80's.

Hey I had a paisley shirt too though by the early to mid 90s I probably looked totally out of sync. Manic Street Preachers were laughed at by the music press and in general back then but they became huge here for a while. Nightwish are huge too but it's a sub genre secret so maybe not on your radar. Some would say formulaic. Thanks for watching.

Hi Martin - Living an hour plus from London venues, it's always a dilemma whether to leave gigs early. Sexy a new genre. Get the shrink off next time you are on video. I watched the Children of the Stones series on RU-vid recently and it's held-up well. Not sure I've ever listened to Second Coming. John Wayne would be an interesting choice. Hope you feel better soon, I'm finally near normal after about five weeks.

You too eh? Five weeks here too probably. I sometimes envy commuting time for listening time. 2nd coming is a decent album. Couple of dud tracks but by the time I saw them at Reading '95 they'd got a simply red guitarist and it had gone to pot. I'm closely following your year with the whole culling process and if you sell at fairs will you come back with more, that's happened to me few times but I'm sure your well aware of this.

I have that Vanessa Paradis record. I actually played it for my daughter last week. She didn't like it, but I certainly did. Did I hear that right, that the next album by the Church will be Prog? Have I missed something? Have you seen the film Shaun OF The Dead? Would you throw that second Stone Roses album at at an approaching Zombie? When I was a student in Portsmouth the first Stone Roses was very popular but I was getting into metal at the time. It is supposed to be a superb album but I've never really got into it. Bad News. Respect! I owe you some VCLT I am sure, and at least a takeaway for three, oh and a new chair... I look forward to getting together sometime soon Martin. Cheers

Any discerning VC'er would check condition before using as zombie amo. Yes the church more prog apparently. Few changes in line up since last one. Probably not fully blown prog though sorry to disappoint you. Joe la taxi. If you owe me VCLT can I choose some? 😂 Yes we need a meet let me know if you are passing sometime I'll PM you in a bit.

Good effort Martin. I must admit, I've avoided the Wet Leg album as everyone else has been buying it, so I figure they can do without my wonga. I've got 'Children of the Stones' on DVD, pretty creepy but defnitely good. Paganism is a religion as well, so no need to whisper. Biblical scholarship has located a lot of early Christian beliefs as deriving from Pagan blood cults, sacrificial rites etc. Happy new year!

Ah we demand a blood sacrifice. May I nominate Mike Tomlin? Reveal yourself you sinner! 😂💩

The Children of the Stones looks interesting. I found the series on RU-vid and sneak previewed the opening minute or so. Those chatty demon stones are creepy. It would be unsettling to live in a cozy corner of the countryside and have to live with those ever-present reminders of the pagan antics that went on in your backyard. Could you imagine relaxing in a hammock that was stretched out over the site of a child sacrifice? I'm off work tomorrow due to a snow/ice storm that hit Dallas today and plan to watch The Children of the Stones with my wife. I understand that it's a kids show, but so was Doctor Who. At least this show won't have Jodie Whittaker in it. (I also disliked Broadchurch. Unlikable Characters + Boring Plot = Crap TV) Happy record sorting. I've got my collection torn apart right now to try to figure out which records will make the cut to stay in the home with me. The problem with the bargain finds is that they take up too much space and have a negative effect on your overall quality of life if you let them grow out of hand like a pack of wild triffids.

I think you'll like it. To me the original Wicker Man (and to an extent clockwork orange) give a choice of Jesus or the other, they are more realistic examples of living separately in this world rather than in a Christian bubble, broadchurch I've heard of insert church of England joke here. I have some things in mind to send you that I can easily replace her and you'd be unlikely to get there. Have a good week and enjoy the creepy stones. Hi to Titus too. P.S. Yes my room is a total mess and I need a good clearout but there's fun in selling records it's parting with the darn things that can be tricky (inanimate objects).

@@Thevinylscavenger Three episodes in on The Children of the Stones. So far it's been entertaining for a predictable children's show. Wicker Man Jr. I'll be able to enjoy another day at home tomorrow due to the poor road conditions. Should be able to return on Friday. I could get used to a two-day work week.
