It's better than the vinyl version. One of the sides is literally just 'Monster' on an entire 33rpm side. Like 3/4 of the wax isn't even used for no reason
@@ludwigii9329 I thought it was hidden because it's just not on streaming and there's no mention of it at all outside of the track listing which is surprising. I would normally expect like a sticker about it or something when you buy it
@@mushroomlad6233 yeah but it didn't even include the fall. I don't own the original album vinyls so would have been the target audience for it, yet even I felt it was an absolute rip off for the price.
@@johngray9314 The Fall is not a studio album, it was recorded while touring. It was made because Damon was signed for 2 albums with his label. It is not a main album. The set also costs less than if you were to buy each album individually, how is it a ripoff? You could just not buy it also.
@@Spagneti Definitely not "stans" or long-term fans such as yourself. Imagine getting into a band for the first time and then a convenient boxset containing the 6 main studio albums from that band becomes available.
small story: i am the guy who actually tries to collect CDs. The reason is that for a student who doesn't work (no free time) a vinyl with an average price of $40 - $60 (at least in my country, which is Russia) is too much. CDs would cost me about $4 - $15, but the thing is that no one buys CDs, you cannot find what you want almost anywhere. My collection is 31 discs right now (with the latest addition of Bjork's Vespertine, yay), and yeah, it is hard to find what I really want to have, especially if it is new music, because no one needs CDs. What is funny is that I don't even have a CD drive (as an equivalent to a vinyl record player), I just like to own an album I really enjoy. Also, a chance of buying a counterfeit CD is high, unlike vinyls. Sometimes I really question myself, is it all really worthy then, and maybe I am an idiot, and maybe I should save money for a record player and begin buying vinyls - slowly, deliberately...decently. Sometimes I don't. So yeah, seeing a collection like this truly warms my heart - and ears (genuinely enjoy more than a half of presented albums) - but also feeds my jealousy and makes me feel sad and miserable sometimes.
The moment I saw the SOPHIE record a wave of sadness hit me. I, like many others had a very profound reaction to that album and years after I still go back to it, both in moments of raw joy but also reflective, more muted periods. She will be missed.
You wake up in the middle of the night, the lights are out and there's a storm outside. You turn to your left and see Fantano glare into your very fucking soul. He sees right through you. His teeth, razor sharp and white reflect the moonlight onto your mortified face. He reaches his hands up near you as you shriek in horror, not able to anticipate the terror that awaits. Then he simply starts rotating the music box at 24:08 and he whispers "I'm not fucking around with you, I am not fucking around with you"
I got myself Modern Baseball's "You're gonna miss it all" and for my friend's birthday "De Stijl" by The white stripes on vinyl today! I think he will be excited. Y'all have a great one :)
I don't like how despite the fact I've known he's always been sitting for a while now, it still catches me off guard every time he pulls the camera back.
@@Evatyl well I mean he gave it a Light 8 when he initially reviewed it. I’d like to think that he thinks it’s a decent - strong 8 now? (Or maybe even a light 9? 👀)
I like Anthony at a desk. Makes him seem more professional. He should wear a tie too. And keep a stack of papers that he periodically picks up and neatens
Oh shoot! I had been watching the old Vinyl Updates for fun today and yesterday, didn't expect a new one so soon but it's a nice surprise. Love seeing all the records you get
Was the MBDTF cd on the shelf during the Spellling review? If so, considering all the other albums on the shelf were 10s, that means MBDTF is therefore a 10.
gorillaz never needs to go as hard as they do - that's what makes it great (live, they had all the rappers, musicians, and symphonies that were on the album)
