Happy new year everyone! This is a how to video to show you my method on vinyl wrapping window trim on a 2021 Lexus IS350. Most vehicles are similar and very simple to do, just take your time and have the right tools. I show both methods with cutting the vinyl by hand and using knifeless tape so anyone can attempt this no matter what your skill level is. If you have questions leave them down below!

This helped me SO much doing my own chrome delete. Local shop wanted $400 for it and I decided to tackle it myself. Came out really good and the knife less tape and tucking the vinyl was so ingenious.

Man this was so helpful with the way you did the triangle piece, I tried to cut it with a A blade and realize that it is almost impossible to do, but your way is the right way

As soon as I saw him tucking excess Vinyl under the Rubber... I knew this guy is one of the top 5% best wrappers. Every time I get a car wrapped, I ask if they tuck excess vinyl and the majority of the time they don't know what I'm talking about.

I have the same car, same color, and I wanna do a chrome delete so bad!! Idk why Lexus doesn’t automatically do it with the f sports

I did this to my 2015 350. I also wrap cars, for context. Definitely worth it with tinted windows. Dint forget the grill trim. I also wrapped the rear logo with black 3M 2080 and it came out great. This is very technical, idk if is try it without the skill set.

@@alvannpham I did and before I tinted my windows. I feel like matte or satin would clash with the gloss appearance of the tinted windows. Biggest bang for the buck mod on my car are the 20mm wheel spacers.

On fellers they have chrome delete rolls. Would you suggest that or just a regular roll of wrap. Saw another comment you said 25-30 ft

If you can find the cover chrome rolls made for window trim would be best but you can get a sheet of vinyl and cut out pieces too

I get it from my local vinyl and graphic store so check around your city and the product is 3M 2080 series gloss black vinyl wrap

Hey so I've done a chrome delete on my own IS and I happened to cut a bit of the rubber on the bottom of one of my windows. Will that severely affect the waterproofing of the car or will it be fine? Are there any ways to repair that rubber if it's cut?

If its not cut too bad it shouldn’t make a difference but you can use some super glue to attach it back as best as possible

Nope its alot easier doing it on the vehicle. That way your not holding the chrome with one hand and trying to lay the vinyl with the other hand. Ive tried before and it gets annoying

If done properly, it can last up to 7 years

Yes after i finish vinyl wrapping the trim ther clear plastic film comes off the vinyl to protect it from scratching and damaging when installing the vinyl

@Ehab Halat I have an obsidian/black 2016 Lexus RC 200t, and I want to Chrome delete the window trims. Can you give a guesstimate on how it'll cost? I want to do it myself, but I have no heat gun or know where to buy 3M 2080 vinyl rap.

@@OBZRV82 i charge anywhere from $275-$350 CAD but if you want to attempt it your self you can find a heat gun at walmart and the vinyl on amazon its vvivvd brand but i heard its still good
