i never realized how much that particular iron maiden cover looks like an earth, wind and fire cover! i never realized anyone include iron maiden and culture club or talk about wasp and the thompson twins in the same video but you are referring to specific time period (the year i graduated) so all bets are off.
At times I cannot believe those albums are 40 years old! All records I either have, or certainly heard. Very much like you, Thompson Twins, Culture Club, bands we referred to as "prep" crap, I never gave a fair shake. Nowadays I find I have softened to allow more diversity...some! Lol! Love most Nazareth but checked out after Malice In Wonderland in 1980, but I have heard that one. Pales in comparison to their 70's output imho. I think lots of people associate Bush with Anthrax hence the Thrash connection, but Armored Saint were always just straight up hard rock/heavy metal to my friends and I. Solid picks from 84 Craig. Hope you enjoyed the July 4 festivities and weekend man. Cheers bud! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘
Jailbreak was on the Australian Dirty Deeds, which i got at the very first record show i ever went to, along with my copy of the Mothers - Freak Out. But i had that '74 Jailbreak record to tide me over till i found the Australian LPs too, haha!
Hey Craig! Nazareth - so underappreciated in the US. Most people only know "Love Hurts" and "Hair of the Dog", but the 3 albums that came out before that are great. Happy 4th to you! See you Sunday!
Salut Greg. You showed some great albums. The Warning (their best album) is missing in my collection.😭.Armored Saint is Thrash? I think not.For me it's Power Metal....
🤔I guess I put them there because of the bands they associated with rather than their sound but the more I think about it the more I think you are correct, not a thrash band.
some vinyl enthusiast named richie suggested that coming here might cause him to make one more video before croaking so guess who arrived on the scene?
