Reading the article, it’s so sad that the coach of the aggressors is still justifying the behavior. There’s a clear reason why there is no respect by the other players, parents and friends of that team. Hai comments to KEYT and using “La raza” and being low income as justification is such a ridiculous argument. I hope that the league actually follows through and ensures that those players never play again. As a Mexican/Latino, it angers me for people to use race as a reasoning to act like fools.

Green team threw the first punch and ganged up on individual people. Blue team started walking away and green team followed. Hell even the parents/fans of the green were ganging up too. Both teams deserve to have their seasons over and players suspended. But i would say the charges are mostly for the green team

Sunday leagues have become this here in Arizona. When you have kids and a wife its not worth it. Sad when you can't even play a soccer game on a Sunday.

Summary of the news report: Both are youth soccer clubs. Green is from South LA (makes sense) and blue from Irvine. Green lost for the first time this season. Allegedly two players got into an argument and thats when LA attacked. All their players and the club itself has been banned from the league for life. coach of the LA team claims Irvine player swung first and that throughout the game they were saying racial slurs, Irvine coach says thats ludacris. LA team is almost all low income latinos and Irvine is mixed with black, white, mexican, and Croatian.

At first i thought this was in Canada. No shots fired. Just 2 sports teams beating the turds out of each other on the field.

Disgraceful this is why the world sees us as a joke people cant take games for just games and take things too seriously and dont know when to lose and for the person kicking the guy and run good luck doing that in prison cause there is no running there. This is horrible to watch as a fellow soccer player seeing this its one of the worst things I’ve seen in soccer not just for pro or semi pro but for kids soccer to do all that violence is shameful whoever they believe in God or whatever better pray even more for forgiveness cause that is absolutely atrocious for all those kids and ones that had to see that and get punched or kicked for no reason my prayers go out to yall cause this is not acceptable. This is the worlds game and in the worlds game there is NO Racism NO Bullying and absolutely NO HATE this sport is to bring people together have fun play with love and to have great experiences

This is why I quit refereeing soccer. People are unhinged. I was just at a girls ECNL tournament last summer and the police had to be called 3 times because of parents trying to fight referees and following them to their cars.

I remember this happening at a Vegas semi pro game, had the other sidelines charge at us because of how bad we whooped them and we ended that fight before they even had a chance to clear their sideline

The video doesn’t show why the team in white/green was so upset about, while ocean blue team seemed to try to calm them down , the white/green wanted to settle it with shoving, throwing punches and kicks and got out of control. Hopefully they get held accountable so it doesn’t happen again!

Back in the day if you had a fight it was 1 on 1 and no weapons and 9 times out of 10 you shake hands after and pop down to the local pub. Now it's weapons and Gangs that's why I don't go down to the pub on weekend, s anymore only during the week because anythings possible on a weekend and it doesn't even have to be yourself that starts it 🙄

- Fighting is wrong in sports. In my years of playing we always walked away from brawls. You have to stick together and walk away. - A fight is not friendly or fair. Those who fight fair usually get hurt. Please defend yourself for real. The Irvine team has no unity. Wouldn’t call that a team.
