I made that comment because he is one of my best friends. I feel even though his performance wasn't perfect, he still deserves to be supported (even if its slightly over the top) And if you had any respect for him you would realize that he probably knows he missed some notes. He is only a sophmore, and he is becoming an awesome musician. So for you to try and point out wrong notes the way you did, IS disrespectful. And no I won't turn off comments, because criticism can be good w/out being harsh
What is my attitude? Why should any video be disliked, unless it is absolutely terrible? Was this terrible? No, it wasn't. And yes I know that there are very stubborn people out there who will dislike any video that has a single wrong note, and I believe that is idiotic. As for you, you talk as if you know who he is, like you know how much time he actually put into preparation. Could it not just be the fact that he was nervous? Get a clue.
Just to end this whole thing, I really could care less about the dislikes. I was just supporting my friend. He wanted this up here so he could show his family that couldn't attend the concert. I just don't appreciate crappy criticism. hah but this thread has gone too long. So I digress, and agree to disagree.
Honestly, I didn't like your post on dislikes,that was really my problem.It's obvious that some people are very picky when it comes to solos like this, the comment was directed more towards you.As for your friend I do see potential, from what it seems he just didn't take his time in learning the solo. For a sophmore this isn't that bad and I have to admit, it's almost absolutely impossible to play through this solo with out missing a few notes.I have a problem with your attitude not your friend.
If you've learned this solo you'd know what I mean.This solo isn't exceptionally hard unless:a)you rushed the learning process,b)you didn't"climb into it",or c)You're playing to fast.Now judging by his technique he obviously climbed in, his isn't that fast,so I would say that leaves A.And by attitude I mean putting a this up not expecting at least 1 dislike and proceeding to insult that person.BUT obviously you only want positive feedback so I will retract my former statements if it pleases you.
You're giving the impression that this is an amazing video when really it's nothing that special. I mean no disrespect to the performer as he may have some issues due to the tempo that he takes this at. But if you can't see the flaws then you can't fix them and improve on things.(I know that this isn't you but it's worth mentioning). If you don't like any criticism then just turn off the comments and disable the likes, youtube comments aren't just for compliments
