Excellent vid, I never removed the bolts for my TM stick, but only had it straight so it wasn't an issue. Seeing this let me know I can use the 50mm extension with my warbrd base and TM stick, as long as I remove those bolts.
Thank you for the video. You saved me a few headaches since I didn’t have the thing plugged in correctly. I didn’t know you can take the cable out a little to plug it in. Now I just need to figure out how to program the little stick on the joystick
Im waiting to receive my first order of a left Constellation Alpha Prime stick and WarBRD base from Virpil and I was a bit concerned about how fiddly it might be to actually attach the grip to the base as I haven't had to do it before. After watching this video I can see as long as I line things up its not difficult so thanks for putting my mind at ease
hi, if you install the curved extension. it is good to know you best use a pair of pliers to catch the connection ( lower back-end part connecting to the base ) carefully, extend it so you get some length of cable from its socket a tiny bit, that way you can handle more easily the connection on to your base and secure correctly the connection. then just push the extended cable a back in. it doesn't work if you try to attach the curved extension without doing this, you might risk bending your pins !
If virpil recommends removing those bolts then why are they even there? :) I just got a grip from them and its DOA but I can't even tell if its plugged into the base correctly and if I do get it screwed on its DEAD. Do I have to configure it first? or something?
The use the same physical collar sizes and the same electrical connector BUT the 50mm extension as NOT a flexible cable so dunno if they might be an issue, rest should be fine
I was looking at a Virpil WarBird base sold from Virpil's refurbished item store. The description of the WarBird base said the springs and cams in the base are not strong enough for extensions. Do you find that the extensions work will with the WarBird base?
