FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Lei-Fei's stage (as Akira's stage instead plays his VF2 arcade theme), albeit with some minor differences to it's composition.

Sega Saturn had the best music out of all the video game systems ever made. Very underrated system.

Used to play this on Sega Saturn all the time and never forgot how awesome this music was. It sounds like a mid 90's Swedish melodic death metal instrumental(In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity)

I think Virtua Fighter 2's themes are not awkward although they were made in 1995.

I always thought that if SEGA made their Virtua Fighter RPG (disregarding Shenmue for one moment) that this should be the theme or perhaps used for training sequences.

Well neither does mine. Just checked the disk, no issues there, sounds great! But I figured it might be just the lower quality youtube setting so I bumped it up to 1080p, and what do you know? Popping! I'll keep testing to see if it happened when I uploaded the video, or if it's just youtube being youtube. Just a note, after playing it at normal settings two times or so, it didn't pop anymore. I'm thinking it's youtube's streaming and all, but I'll look a little deeper. Thanks for the concern.

It could be the recording device if it cant keep up it will pop or the cd rip, if you used that method. I was ripping a sonic cd music CD and the slower USB connection of the CD drive made it pop so I had to use my desktop pc with a better drive and CPU and it fixed it. encoders do not like that sort of thing. But yes many reasons it may have happend too many to explain or suggest here.

There is a scratch on your disk or the drive did not rip the data right or your pc messed up the rip. it is popping.
