I just love the sfx (gasps, applause) from the invisible audience. Like there's a stadium of people around a 16 metre-square concrete platform in the middle of the Canadian wilderness to watch a pro wrestler battle a karateka, a ninja or a kung-fu fighting chef :D
ah, so many memories with this game. My goodness i wish we could bring back the Sega Saturn, Like in a Collection or something. Sega needs to stop releasing Sega Genesis Collections because we dont need anymore of those. we have too many as it is, but yet no Saturn Collection is around. makes me sad to see the Sega Saturn unrecognized and unappreciated.
I think the biggest reason why Sega didn't release any Saturn remasters or recasts is because of how "advanced" Saturn's hardware was. Looking at the files from the Genesis collection, all of them, if not all were roms of the games you could get online for free and executed via an emulator (Regen, Fusion). Saturn ports would either have to be built from the ground up again or a Saturn emulator would have to be developed for, to this day there are still no good Saturn emulators.
Music of fighting games in the 90's was so damn awesome, it stuck with you.. I can't say the same thing for fighting game music today. I was shocked and disappointed that NONE of the tracks in Street Fighter V got my attention.. I don't even remember any of the tracks to be honest. In SFIV there were only 2 tracks I liked.. Tekken Tag 2 sadly only 2 tracks, this was a huge thing with me, since I remember whenever a Tekken game came out after the first one, I was always excited to hear what the music was going to be like.
Agree in a big way. Video game music in general was much better in the 90's, regardless if 16 or 32 bit. Sure, from time to time comes a great ost today, but the sheer amount of awesome tracks from this era is unmatched.
Tekken hasn't had a good soundtrack since Tekken Tag 1, every game post that had one or two maximum. MK has been having shitty tracks since MK9... SF.. let's not talk about it. Samurai Shodown had good tracks... KoFIX had decent ones but not that memorable. VF5 had crazy good tracks. Aoi them from VF5R is so good listen to it.
I love this song. about half the CD's I burn off my computer have this song in them. I love that bit at 1:33 where it sounds like the wind breezing by.
