Its sad how vf is being treated. One of the most underrated fighting games out there. There wouldnt have been tekken without VF. I only played vf 4 back on the ps2 it was one of the first games i had on it and I loved it to death. I hope one day a miracle happens and they make vf 6

A real fighting game fan can appreciate the passion. I’m about 90% sure VF will have a guest character in T8. The collaboration Harada did with that company far as costumes told me everything I need to know just pay attention.

If we lived in a sane world, Sega would have a kick ass VF6 trailer to show off by now. Rather than focus on graphics or the ridiculously long combos of competitors, the goal should be to have the best online play experience.

Sad to say, but the Sega number crunchers must've told the suits that VF isn't a money spinner and that the costs would outweigh the profit at the end of the day. Terrible for the FGC as Tekken and Mortal Kombat use gimmicks and overlong combos instead of real innovation.

I read the Japanese article on why they decided to release 3tb and not 2 or 4. They said that VF2 and 4 are too similar to VF Esports. They think VF3TB is more distinct. They want to avoid cannibalizing.

We are also pushing Sega to release VF4 Final Tuned and VF5 R. They need to release all of them and also announce Virtua Fighter 6 is in development. Sega needs to do something positive with Virtua Fighter. VF5US sucks online due to garbage netcode and no WiFi indicator. Tekken is the only 3D fighting game IP worth playing since all others are dead. Sega is mistreating VF, SC is dead, while Team Ninja killed DOA with all the controversies surrounding DOA6.

I got my first ranked win on VF5US last night! Two wins actually against a level 25 opponent, my heart was racing when I was trying to close out the wins. I'm glad to part of this community even if it seems Sega doesn't care about VF anymore.

An OFFICIAL update for you that I just learned. Virtua Fighter 3TB will be included into the 8th Ryuga Gotaku/Yakuza game. SEGA is planning to release a Model 3 Compilation but they will not do it if there is not a demand for it. In other words, everything you said about not supporting the game, you NEED to do the complete opposite. EVERYONE NEED TO MAKE NOISE IF YOU WANT THE MODEL 3 COMPILATION. As for specific needs, SEGA, no different from when I directly communicated with this during the Dreamcast days, are still stubborn. They don't know anything. If the western VF community do not unite and demand for something in package form for Sega to focus and create, I believe nothing will be done. In my opinion, Sega needs to create an ultimate VIRTUA FIGHTER PACKAGE that provide VF1, VF2, VF3, VF4, VF4 Evo, VF4 Final Tuned, VF5 ver D (Pirates theme), VF5 R (best VF ever), and VF 5 Esports all working together with VFTV with FULL items support since its creation.. VFTV, like it use to do here, need to BROADCAST ALL Virtua Fighter tournaments, from local, etc. It needs to be Virtua Fighter's version of AMEMA TV with Live and Archieve broadcast and connects with RU-vid invited channel partners. LASTLY, there need to be a QUEST mode that is based worldwide that will allow you to go to real arcades and event spaces (plus fictional too) where you can compete against both bots and REAL people. Do that, plus re-include tutorial mode and make a new tutorial mode for Virtua Fighter 3 then people will lose the plot. All that must be done before Virtua FIghter 6 comes out, and when VF6 arrives it should integrate into VFTV net so all VF communities for all VF games can stick together! That's how you do it. Oh yes. Crossplay, Rollback Netcode, and release on ALL platforms must happen too because ALL devices can run VF3 and most devices can run VF4. Heck, VITA too.

Again unlike mk with the kameo system. The mk community is literally nothing but complaining & negativity. This is my first time getting deep into the fgc like this. First fg I ever fell in love with was soul calibur but I never dove into the fgc like that until now. They just feel more accessible and the communities are more thriving.

SEGA not supporting VF outside of Japan sucks, I agree. It's the reason why the series stopped being relevant. But what's up with the VF3tb hate? "worst VF in the franchise" ?? If VF2 was really that great how come VF3tb is the only classic VF game the Japanese community plays consistently to this day, You can't tell me with a straight face VF2 is better, the only throws you can escape in that game are neutral throws! Don't get me wrong VF2 is a cool game but VF3tb did so much to improve the core gameplay system, it is a much intuitive game despite the uneven stages which despite being a turn off for some, have helped to set apart the game as a unique experience. at best uneven stages bring an extra layer of depth to the combat and at worst they just make the game convoluted when trying to understand it, which doesn't seem like a big deal. It's not like Tekken 4 where the poorly programmed walls lead to infinites, VF3tb got none of that. Anyway another weird move from SEGA, their logic behind this weird release is probably trying to appeal to arcade owners who want to run VF3tb but have trouble getting boards, VF3tb boards are getting quite expensive since they are in very high demand. BUT even then making this arcade exclusive is complete insanity! even Japanese players are disappointed! such a big missed opportunity to have a home port that doesn't suck! "the Dreamcast port was pretty bad"

Man, i don't want to disrespect you but Street Fighter 6 is doin well, the game is still play a lot at tournament and with casual. The problem that have the game right now is the CPT rules for the pro player and the balance for certain character but that's not concern the casual player. Not everybody playin Tekken only. 2D fighting genre is still strong and is in a good shape for the moment. We have a lot of licence right now. Its not like the same era of first year of SFV. Its not because there only Tekken for 3D fighting game that you have to say that 2D is weak. We have more games now that in the 90's.

I am a highly creative and competitive person and I love game especially fighting games and eventually I will start my own company. With the explosion of AI I know of a couple of actually fun games developed by one person. I am one of those type of people even if I got to do it my dam self I will. SF7 MK2 T9 VF DOA Bloody Roar Killer Instinct give them to me and I'll do what these Devs should've done with these IP's a long time ago.

I feel like they either don't like their fans enough to want to take a leap of faith or they're too scared to compete against Tekken 8. I grew up with both series and loved hopping back and forth, but it genuinely feels disappointing seeing Tekken being a monopoly and this is especially true since Koei Tecmo stopped doing DOA in favor of venus vacation. sega had so many opportunities to grow and stay competing with namco/sony/nintendo/everybody but they keep flushing them down the drain for absolutely no reason either for sega japans ego or because they couldn't see 4-6 fucking months ahead of them (sega 32x, virtua fighter remix when vf2 and tekken were released later in the same fucking year etc) video games are just virtual busywork with a halfassed movie attached nowadays, anything barely resembling a arcade experience is basically out the window at this point, even indie games are becoming lowest common denominator just because somethings made by 1 or 2 or 3 people doesn't mean its the best shit ever

If you're at an arcade cabinet, are you really that excited to play someone else at another arcade cabinet sitting down in another town or simply a few rows down? I was disappointed about the news. I agree. Like I get it VF3 TB is cool n all. But VF5:US should be their main priority. Especially when they are not bettering the game to have more cosmetics, online, and other stuff. The only thing we got from that, was TK7 collab and the YAKUZA collab which is cool but still. They could've done more. And idek if SEGA has been living under a rock, but anybody can parsec and like you said fightcade the older titles. Where VF5 you cannot. And it definitely still shouldn't be Sony exclusive because I know Sony didn't pay them *that* much for Virtua Fighter of all things to be exclusive for long. Surprisingly, Yakuza and Judgement series have more depth in story progression, character development, and creative fighting system than VF series. Best decision Sega did working with the RGG team that created them.

Agree, i like VF but they REALLY need to stop with the nostalgia trips and constant VF5 ports and make a new game, when VF5US was announced i was pretty much done holding on to hope for a new game since they seem content on keeping the series tied to its past rather than its future, while with Yakuza they have something going on nearly every other business day. I could respect VF5US a bit more if it was even remotely supported but its like they dipped after that Tekken dlc collab.

As much as I love Sega (them and Capcom are my favorite video game companies) they did this with PSO2 and VF5FS. We also never got the stages from VFR. They’re lazy, it took them almost a decade to give us PSO2 and even though I love PSO2 I’m an avid fighting game fan, and I’m yearning for a new VF. They need to stop effin’ around and give us a new VF. As far as tekken goes I only play with 2 characters that’s Baek Doo San, and Bruce Irvin. With that said TTT2 was the last tekken game I purchased seeing as though my 2 mains were omitted from T7 and possibly T8.

Ima be honest. I can't stand virtua fighter fans they are blinded by hubris. Their arguments in favor of VF over Tekken are all defeated by the question: "What's still around?" But the infighting between 3d fighter fans is a fire that nolonger burns. I always loved Tekken most, yes. I still miss Soul Calibur and DoA. I miss 3d fighting games. I think they're better personally. I wish VF would come back because I feel like it will uphold martial arts over a heat system.

Should I get a PS4 just to play VF5US? I've been emulating VF5FS on PC but the AI can only go so far and it doesn't look like there will be a PC version. How is the online? I've never really did any online gaming before so I don't really know what to expect in terms of delay and whatnot.

Virtua fighter 3 is the game that drastically changed the tide between the VF series and Tekken. VF3 IMO was horrible especially the mexhanics. It didnt feel snappy like all the others in VF2, VF4, and VF5. Also the graphics alwere actually underwhelming compared to the tech demos and other comparitive gams.

I been waiting for another Virtua fighter game. I brought showdown on ps4, But already had da better version on ps3. The ambience,atmosphere of tekken was just more fun for most fighting gamers. Showdown proved this. I personally love showdown, but by Allah this game was boring in 1 player. Sorry man, but I rather play Yakuza over any Virtua Fighter game. I can't stand Virtua Fighter and its lackluster graphic demo project. It's up to VF5 now and we still know nothing about any of those fighters. Heck I think I rather play a Virtua Fighter RPG in the style of them Yakuza game.

Sega will be fine. Want to play Virtua Fighter? Use emulators. Problem solved.
