Spent 2 hours doing this last night. Got to a point where I didn't believe I could miss. Getting a real feel for the cueball control now too. Thanks you Steve. Can't wait for my match tonight now!
I did a 71 at this today and it felt amazing! 8 blacks and 1 pink and made a stupid mistake ending it. Such a breakthrough though and all thanks to your fantastic channel. When I started I could hardly pot 4 balls on the run. I usually make a 39 or 41 over an hour or 2 but today I did 18 shots on the run! It really feels amazing walking back and forth around the table with a bit of a swagger, analysing the next shot and then executing the pot with the position. You feel like an actual snooker player :))) I really can't express how good this channel is to learn from. I watch no one else as I don't want to get confused by the learning and practice process. A guy asked me for a match during my practice and I said OK. I won all 3 matches but to be honest, practice is so much more enjoyable than playing at the moment. I feel like I could spend a whole year on just this one exercise. I think I'll keep going until I hit a 100 and then try working on the 3-ball line up which I tried today but just couldn't work out the positional play. Hey HO! A whole new challenge! what an amazing game this is and such a lifelong challenge :)) Thank you so much for this channel! You're a legend!
The BEST SNOOKER ONLINE TRAINING anyone can get is through this channel!! All shots explained to detail step by step. Steve makes it look so easy but when you put it into practice...one have to take onboard all the information that Steve provides us with. Thanks a lot for your continuous knowledge you are passing on to us of this beautiful game!! Cheers ;)
Great routine - thanks - Very helpful, especially explanations - love that you use and explain when you are using traces of side for position, even though white never hits cushion - just to deflect the OB and run the white on a slightly different line. Well done Steve !!!! - Make more of these please - also please make a series of videos where you pick 1 colour, and work on different shots for different senarios eg on yellow explain how to get inside the pink spot either same side or coming across table off 2 cushions etc etc
Abso love this video exact what players of my standard need and love the cue ball and where to hit it as so important to try and keep the break going. Will try this when I get chance. Thank you so much.
What a brilliant Video Steve, this will really help with my break building, loads of great tips on where to hit the ball and what the ball does after you hit it, many Thanks Alan.
Love the channel. I got my highest break last night. 58, after that I put the controller down and turned the PlayStation off. Could never ever dream of that in real life 😂
Man , really appreciate your efforts , Your channel made me a better player , I even won 🥇 🏆 a local tournament in our small city (thanks to you ) and today again I came here to prepare myself and revise such pro shots cuz i have a match today 🤞🏻🤝 thanks again ☺️
Great video. I have had a lesson with Steve. It was a brilliant day , I learned more than I thought I would & for anyone who wants to understand more about the game then book a lesson with Steve Barton. You will not be disappointed. 👍👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴
This is by far best practice routine ever on your tube or anywhere. Just coming back after 3 decades to the sport. I Did 144 so far on it, my aim is 350. After that ill add 2 reds to the top for canon and continue. My goal for this year is to make 60 to 90 break in game (At the moment I'm in 4x-5x bracket). Thank you so much for the vids (Arek from Syd Aus)
I really liked this video in that seeing where your hitting the cue ball is a very big help. I , like a lot of us , can pot close shots but don’t get the cue ball control needed to get the bigger breaks. Please add this feature as often as possible.
Wao....one of the video I have always wanted. Surely, this will improve my break building. I am a learner from the videos and this will improve my gameplay. Now I can hold the white ball near black or pink spot. Bravo 😎
Absolute fantastic video Steve I watch them all many times over and this will be added to my favourites very well explained and love the graphics on the white 👍
Nice routine there and a top quality video as always. I think I'll try this after I pass all the blue stage. I have alot to work on before that. I'm sure it won't be too long though 😉
Hi Steve, great video as usual - when you are trying to gauge how hard you need to hit the white for say a stun shot to get position on the next colour, do you vary the speed you are delivering the cue, or just increase/decrease the amount of backswing in your action in order to moderate the power? Or is it a bit of a mixture of both?!
Another excellent video Steve, so much pertinent and relevant guidance. Gutted that I'm not in Blighty any more, or I'd definitely book some lessons. Used to live in Quinton. All the best.
Morning Steve, just looking over some old videos, never seen a video of yours that does not offer great advise, good to recap, will add this one to my pre match practice, Happy New Year to yourselves and family, 2022 with your virtual help my game WILL improve even more , keep up the brillant videos, 😊😊😊
Hi David. Thanks very much! Great to hear you're really enjoying the videos and finding them helpful. Happy New Year to you and all your family 🎉🎉 Have a great 2022 🙂
@@BartonSnooker we will thanks Steve, the team i play for i recommend your channel and know who is watch it, as their games are improving, one guy is back playing after a long lay off, started on a 21 handicap and is dropping points ever reassessment, in fact we practice together before matches and on team practice sessions, we play each other and they say "see the best 2 players in the team don't want to play with us any more", we do but its too easy and its all thanks to Barton Snooker 😁😁😁😁💙
I have a question about intentional fouls in snooker. So if my opponent requires snookers e.g 4 or 5 to have a chance to win the frame and I decide to intentionally hit a wrong ball to give a few points away, do I lose the frame for intentionally hitting the wrong ball?? Thanks
I am from pakistan to bro good to see you here. Humry pakistan se bhi ronne o sullvan jese players peda honge insahallah keep practising keep improving bro
Fabulous video, could I ask at 16:40 you say the little left-hand side helps the pot what do you mean by that please? Is that a personal tendency or are you using throw to widen the target ?
Really love it bro we need more contant like that becouse i am from pakistan and here in pakistan are few coach's of snoker so really appreciate that bro love from pakistan 😍 ♥
Helo mate. Brilliant video😀 You're really the ultimate snooker coach. Can you make a video after the world snooker championships finish and try recreate the hotshots. Thanks for the video. Who do you think has the best cue action, Robertson, murphy, or o sullivan?
Hi Steve. All was going well until 16.25 and I heard you say you would add ". . . a touch of left hand side because it helps the pot . . ." Could you please explain how it helps the pot? Are you not worried that the cueball will be deflected to the right and so miss the part of the pink you were aiming at? If you allow for this deflection is there a particular method you use or is it just the old saying of 'hit the shot a thousand times and get used to it!'? Very encouraging to see you get a lot of screwback with soft shots. I tend to overhit those. I'll be working on this.Thanks.
I love this tutorials and information tactical elaboration given at our own disposal is too much, Sir Barton... And let's hope you also open to grant us people who are interested to learn more in this game. Trials are just around the corner & covid19 seem to be giving us trouble since we facing winter this side... But in God we believe that we will overcome it. Let me watch & come back to you with any questions as clarity can be the key in cue sport. God bless you for Us cue sport players...
I’m back playing after a 15 year break (pun intended) ….. I was never that good (max 50 break in practice)….so I’ve decided to dedicate some time to doing things right. Just the lining up and pushing the cue through has made a huge difference since I started a couple of weeks ago
