I did a 71 at this today and it felt amazing! 8 blacks and 1 pink and made a stupid mistake ending it. Such a breakthrough though and all thanks to your fantastic channel. When I started I could hardly pot 4 balls on the run. I usually make a 39 or 41 over an hour or 2 but today I did 18 shots on the run! It really feels amazing walking back and forth around the table with a bit of a swagger, analysing the next shot and then executing the pot with the position. You feel like an actual snooker player :))) I really can't express how good this channel is to learn from. I watch no one else as I don't want to get confused by the learning and practice process. A guy asked me for a match during my practice and I said OK. I won all 3 matches but to be honest, practice is so much more enjoyable than playing at the moment. I feel like I could spend a whole year on just this one exercise. I think I'll keep going until I hit a 100 and then try working on the 3-ball line up which I tried today but just couldn't work out the positional play. Hey HO! A whole new challenge! what an amazing game this is and such a lifelong challenge :)) Thank you so much for this channel! You're a legend!

Great routine - thanks - Very helpful, especially explanations - love that you use and explain when you are using traces of side for position, even though white never hits cushion - just to deflect the OB and run the white on a slightly different line. Well done Steve !!!! - Make more of these please - also please make a series of videos where you pick 1 colour, and work on different shots for different senarios eg on yellow explain how to get inside the pink spot either same side or coming across table off 2 cushions etc etc

This is by far best practice routine ever on your tube or anywhere. Just coming back after 3 decades to the sport. I Did 144 so far on it, my aim is 350. After that ill add 2 reds to the top for canon and continue. My goal for this year is to make 60 to 90 break in game (At the moment I'm in 4x-5x bracket). Thank you so much for the vids (Arek from Syd Aus)

Hi Steve, great video as usual - when you are trying to gauge how hard you need to hit the white for say a stun shot to get position on the next colour, do you vary the speed you are delivering the cue, or just increase/decrease the amount of backswing in your action in order to moderate the power? Or is it a bit of a mixture of both?!

Hi Steve. All was going well until 16.25 and I heard you say you would add ". . . a touch of left hand side because it helps the pot . . ." Could you please explain how it helps the pot? Are you not worried that the cueball will be deflected to the right and so miss the part of the pink you were aiming at? If you allow for this deflection is there a particular method you use or is it just the old saying of 'hit the shot a thousand times and get used to it!'? Very encouraging to see you get a lot of screwback with soft shots. I tend to overhit those. I'll be working on this.Thanks.
