Hey guys! I'm Alexandra Gater and I show you how to do rental-friendly upgrades and DIY projects on a budget. New videos every Saturday and vlogs on Wednesdays! The office area within the studio apt was amazing. For the patio some gauzy curtains hung at the side would add some softness and a sense of privacy while waiting for that ivy to grow. LoL

I am amazed at how you can so accurately remake a space! That little office in a studio🤯wow! I thought it was going to look like too much furniture in a small space but it really doesn’t! I can see why she loves her apartment- it’s perfect!

I don't know why I went into this a bit skeptical of how it would turn out. Not doubting your skills Alexandra but just wasn't sure how easy or difficult it might be to design from afar but WOW, you blew me away on both makeovers. Your family are so cute and I loved how it turned out and how we got to see such a professionally done before and after. Your neighbours office is just fantastic and so much better than I could have ever envisioned. It's truly amazing and I think you could be onto something with this virtual design thing even after the pandemic is over! 🤔 Just sayin' you got skills, girl.

I love the virtual makeovers, especially the cousins in England. The gorgeous setting, lovely girls, and playful dog provided exciting variety that you wouldn’t normally be able to show. And it was cool that you were able to find selections that could be delivered to their homes, so they could avoid looking thru stores and just stay safe. Please do more virtual makeovers!

I was so excited when I saw the title of this video. I'm blessed to still be employed while at home and after 3 weeks, I could NOT sit on my couch anymore. My desk consists of two boxes of books, two crates of DVDs, and a painted wood top leftover from a previous project. The leftover paint was coral and white. Ya, its pink and I thought Alexandra would be so thrilled. :)

I do space organisation. I ve been doing it the entire quarantine. My clients showed me their spaces. We discussed their needs and then I was giving them instructions and they moved things around. I sent some of your videos to them to convince them of space separation. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! Yesterday we redid a balcony. I emailed later to the client and she told me she cant stop being there and enjoying her beautiful artistic garden drinking her coffee. What a bliss!

Those girls were THE BOMB! Half the adults I know wouldn't be capable of putting that together despite the guidelines! I am trying to slowly put together my flat and had the idea to send you a video and ask you to help me do this makeover but I have so many doubts in regards to how that could ever work for SO many reasons, and this entire pandemic took it out of my mind :(

Adorable! On the patio, I think those are cafe' lights.... fairy lights are much smaller, like little xmas tree lights.

I love how it turned out! I was also happy to hear that they will be adding vines for a bit more privacy. For now, some more hanging plants could also do the trick. Maybe stagger them at different heights in between the uprights to block the least desirable views.

The patio turned out really cute! I think the only thing I would change is maybe a regular love seat and a small papasan style chair or something like that rather than the sectional, just a little easier for evening time patio chats. The sectional was the perfect size for the space though

Love it... The patio makeover is magical...but I think I would add like 4-6 12" paver blocks by the door just to make it a little more stable than the gravel too.
