RIP Steve Strange 1959 -2015 - the creator of New Romantics

It's quite hard to watch this, so sad. He was such a pioneer of his time but seemed to be forgotten by so many. The same can be said for Billy MacKenzie who is also now sadly gone. I guess you have to a certain age to remember and appreciate the music of the early 80s but for me it was and still is fantastic. RIP Steve Strange.

Always been a fan since the start and had the pleasure of watching him make the video to Pleasure Boys (At the old West Malling Airbase (as was) though didn't see the bit he filmed at the Harrietsham Halfway Bikers Cafe. He had his issues like us all but as a teenager and now they are one of my favourite Bands. Love Night Train as well and anything Visage did. Steve left a through legacy with music and especially The Blitz Club. RIP.

But by the Grace of the Lord, I drugged heavy in my early life, saw friends fall here and there, and for better or sometimes worse, I am able to enjoy my 2 grandsons at 63. the sleepy angel of death has taken hold of his life. I too feel saddened to see him this way but He was the Belle of the Ball for a little while. I figure he got what he wanted for a full and successful life........
