I had this type of injection more than twelve years ago. I was suffering so much pain everyday that I sobbed. The injection was totally pain free and after that so far I never again suffered from my knee. I am grateful to MEDICAL science and the doctor who helped me that time. ❤
I had these done in both knees about 8 months ago. Didn’t do a damn thing for me, but both of mine are bone on bone. It was definitely worth a shot before resorting to knee replacement, though. I had the left knee replaced 2 months ago, and I’m glad I did. I still have pain and swelling from the surgery, but I already have more function that I’ve had for almost 20 years. Glad I did it. Now I gotta do the other one. 😂😮

At your doctor's office, sports medicine works great, they inject it spray it on, with a freezing spray before they inject the big needle, but after you fill great
Relief from knee pain joint pain is so needed for those suffering. Questions concerns with the gel I have are, What is it made of? How long before it deteriorates? When it deteriorates will the gel travel to other body parts etc? What are the long term risks?
I don't know what it's made of but I have relatives who have this. It doesn't last forever, and it gets refilled after your body... absorbs it? Uses it up? Either way, it doesn't cause them any harm.

I have all types of gel and the most expensive synovic gel $450.00 I bought 3x nothing change a lot only a little bit , all I do diet and walking and exercise that helps a lot if your weight is heavy for the knee and legs . Helps a lot if you loose weight.

I’m very happy with the bilateral tkr. It’s been 5 yrs now. 3 days of extreme pain post surgery but it’s worth it. Do pre hab exercises before surgery. It helps to recover faster .

Yes it is soothing to look at. But if you have bone on bone arthritis, this doesn’t do anything. You have to get your knee’s remanufactured with artificial metal plates to feel better.
@@jondstewart I think you misunderstand. Even if it's bone on bone, this will offer relief. I what you're speaking of is a fix, which I didn't say it was. Metal plates themselves come with certain levels of discomfort

I know exactly how u feel, I've tried every shot there is and nothing has helped. I really don't want to go through surgery. But my knees are getting so bad. I can't hardly walk anymore & the pain is Extreme Pain😪😪😪

Contrary to what my surgeon believe, I don't want surgery. Do give me all my medical options for treatment. Two doctors and two surgeons never could characterize, diagnose, nor treat my OA of the knees correctly. They just shrugged it off as a weight problem. I have always said that my weight did not cause this life did. Physically struck by an auto, work injuries, further auto accidents, not to mention just the walking, running, carrying, lifting, bending, and pivoting in and out of autos. I couldn't afford a vehicle nor became license to drive until my late twenties. I am 49 now and wish they would stop claiming my knee condition is mild when it requires me to use a mobility scooter. Gosh really. Systemic discrimination in health care is real and its here in Wisconsin.
I got this done in 2006, and they said it would only last 6 months. It lasted 4 years. I haven't had it done since, but I'm due because my knees have slowly gotten so bad.

I had these shots in both if my knees. I had bad pain especially in my right knee. I have had them both replaced. The shots make it delay the surgery until they are no longer effective.
Thank you for posting your experience and conclusion. Just by its nature, the injected gel cannot last indefinitely. Too many people are given false hope for a permanent fix.
@@paulaclinton1918for a sufferer of 34 yrs of practically every joint in my body, one day, one hour i would be grateful for. I would imagine sueing a dr if he had me believing a fix was a forever when it wasnt. We may wish it but most people in my situation have learned to get educated and to get the facts. If this is snake oil it wont last long. Until then i have a new fantasy for my joints to dream about.
I had PRP injection and it worked I feel safer because it’s using your own blood platelets but after the first PRP injection I was born on bone, but I don’t feel my bone clicking and rubbing anymore I feel about 50% better and about a 10% reduction in pain just from the first injection but I will be following up on a secondary projection!! finally something that works
I also first treatment of PRP injection but still I have pain even I use before Hyaluronic acid injection but no any effect on my knee . Now I first treatment of PRP and next month going for second treatment

DIY red-light therapy , buy the bulbs and holders online 670nm to 860nm as many wavelength as you can get , daily sessions of half hour onto the knee or hip etc , gets your body to repair itself, do some research, and find out for yourself.

it lasts more like 4 to 6 weeks because you need repeated injections. my mom had this done for a long time but it only staves off knee replacement surgery.
This gel will be like jello, when you put weight on it. It will spread out like hot butter, & the space between your upper leg & lower leg will once again be 0.000 (ZERO). However, if would harden a bit after installation, then it provide some comfort (but that isn't mentioned) My friend's wife was denied by insurance over & over..

I did the other way by my own blood plasma! Was very hopeful.....but after 4 month I was in same Situation as before...for each injection I paid 170 €......3 left side knee, 3 right Side knee...... Never again!
Hmmmm, I would be interested in researching this method. I question if when this medical gel eventually leaks away, it does not cause harm to other areas (i.e., the brain, liver, eyes, etc.).

No wonder mine didn't work she placed all three on the outer side of knee. The tear & discomfort is on the posterior side. They are the professionals...the injections themselves didn't hurt. I wish it worked , I am not fond at all of getting a tkr.😢
