Visions for America at 250 

In January of 2024, museum professionals, historians, and other thought partners gathered at President Lincoln's Cottage to look ahead to the 250th anniversary of the United States (July 4, 2026) with a focus on empathy and connection.
Together, the group discussed how museums and cultural sites can approach this commemoration to tell stories that capture the full bredth of the American experience, provoke conversation, and cultivate belonging.
