Let's visit Eskişehir, Turkey! We'll walk around the historic district of Odunpazarı Evleri (wood market houses), try çiǧ börek, see downtown, and spend a lovely evening with friends and a BBQ. Eskişehir (Old City) is a large university city located in northwest Turkey and hosts an adorable old district known for its Ottoman-style wood houses with their distinct bay windows. These colorful houses and narrow walking streets are the perfect way to get acquainted with the city. Here you'll also find many restaurants where you can try some çiǧ börek; a stuffed pastry common throughout Turkey. The downtown of Eskişehir is a bustling place, even on a hot summer day, and is popular for the river that runs through it and the gondola rides for tourists. As a retreat from the hustle of city life, there is Sazova Park which boasts a Disney-like castle and plenty of walking paths and green space. Finally, our friends hosted us for a BBQ dinner with all the fixings. I hope you enjoy this little look into my life. If you'd like to see more from my perspective as an American living in Turkey, please consider subscribing to my RU-vid channel. Until next time, thanks!

Eskişehir is actually quite a large city. There is a big shopping street downtown that is very busy. I didn't go to any malls when there but a friend says that Espark and Vega AVM malls are popular. Thanks for watching my video. I appreciate it!

Thanks for continuing to watch! I appreciate the feedback regarding the length of the video. This time with friends distracted my filming, I suppose 😂.
