What a magnificent armchair Kyloe allows you to enjoy. I'm sure you richly earned these few moments of quiet reflection and repose. I realise how hard the labour must be to keep it all together. Rather like a big Broadway extravaganza or London West-End show. Everything out front is just so, but behind the scenes there is intensive activity and much sweat and effort needed to make it all look as though it just magically happened naturally. Awwww! I had a goat that I was very close with before the smartphone days and the evil folks I been birthed through had suddenly sold him to a butcher friend of theirs, I became heartbroken to my core, somehow someone driving by pulled over and stopped by me as I was walking really sadly up our road about ahalf a mile up the ways and it just so happened to have been the guy they had sold him to and I guess fate just had other plans for my best buddy, and this is what happened, Well he let me know he had not butchered him and promised me he wouldn't butcher him and that I could visit anytime and because he could see how heartbroken I was he told me he never butchers animals that he knows kids are bonded to and told me he will give him some girlfriends and use him for breeding instead. Later on in the year: My buddy was very happy there, he had more space to run around and he also got a bunch (a few hundred) wives shortly later. And became a dad for a lot more kids. I named him Buddy since I helped deliver and raise him from birth when his mama rejected him and we ultimately bonded like a dog and their mam or owner, I treated him like my dog, with horns.

It is so nice to see a man interact with animals the way you do, especially farm animals. I can tell that you truly love them and they love to back. I never seen a man just hang out with a animal like you do. Thank you for sharing. A tip on the fly spray, I don't know if you know about it or not, my neighbor had a pony/ crossed with shetland that can't stand that stuff so she sprays it on a rag then runs it on them like that. So at least they get a little bit in their face. Can't blame them I would want it either. Kind of like mosquito spray for us. Unless it is down right horrible out there, I go with out it.
When we were children we would all lay with our milk cow like this. She was so sweet and loved the attention. All the sounds from their stomach and chewing cud. Such a peaceful moment in chaotic times.

The joy of watching this is inexplicable. I love every minute of it. What kind of grain and hay do they eat? My goats and horses are spoiled by the way I care for them but they deserve it. Animals are my friends.

Omega 3 works great for shiny fur ! Flax seeds are a good source. They used to make these 'cakes' at flax seed oil factories. (though feeding too much will decrease milk production)
