The layout of the entrance gate is almost verbatim of how Disneyland used to be. In fact I recognize that make of turnstile and it’s the same. You can still find them in select locations at Disneyland (e.g. Matterhorn)

Sorry for that. This is why it’s important to take plenty of pictures when on family outings. Now it’s as easy and instant as it’s ever been with our smartphones. But back then, picture taking took some effort and expense.

Very good. i was born a couple of years after the fair, but my brothers went. I almost feel like I was there watching so many videos and walking in the park itself. I can't imagine the pride NY'ers felt to have this right in their backyards. Not only will it never be again, but times have changed to the point where a world's fair is a dated idea. It would not impress, and all the info about the world is at your fingertips. Besides, with today's brazen, shameless attitude, they'd have to have armed guards patrolling constantly.

WRONG ! everyone didn't dress in suits ! I went a bunch of times at least 15 times and never wore a suit , what for? to slow you down ? to be on the Johnny Carson show? No not EVERYONE wore a suit , lay people went in clean clothes. You are correct about a different time a time of REAL Racism , I time before a black president , a time when we were blindly entering a senseless war in Vietnam . Because those of us that were there are here watching. It was awesome. I wish to see more of the insides of the displays. There were futuristic cars built and displayed by ford, chevrolet. Futuristic full sized dioramas of life with better technology, that were viewed from a slowly spinning theater. The World of Tomorrow was a big theme. Ford had a three row station wagon that had a tv screen in the back. My family drove there in a three row ford station wagon with the fake wood side panels, third row faced you toward the back window, the faces of the people in the car behind you instead of tv. And now we're in the future, and it isn't as rosey as they had envisioned, and we haven't colonized the moon either.
