Mad respect to the guy at the end, and, you can tell, Kai was serious when talking to him. All jokes aside, Kai is a real one, and so is the guy talking to him 💯💯 I love when we actually come together and support each other, straight up, frfr 💯🤞🏽
He was sharing the collective racist ideology that persist in that town and that school and the lengths they've gone to to keep racism. Not much of an insight into the school or the name.
@@richardhardaway7813 wht? He didn’t say that. He said the name wasn’t meant for black people but the Mexicans who were there picking cotton. You just tryna make them racist. You go over there most ppl speak Spanish and they hood
i live in the area of this school and regardless of what they try to say they really the most racist schools around and they really be teaching the students to be that way. most of the kids in this school are mexican and theyre all proud of the way they were brought up. its really sad and embarrassing.
Hate how the principal tried to switch the narrative on him like wtf. “Why are you coming up to my young females and asking questions” she knew damn well it had nothing to do with that. Vile behavior from a principal no less.
hate how middle schoolers tryna justify everything creators do, he didnt do this for you or others, he did this for views and money. He came in a school being disrespectful, tryna paint the school over as something it isnt. And clearly it worked, just look how ignorant and naive the comments are
Mad Respect for Unc at the end bro was a real G and the fact that after all that shit happened and they still ain’t change the name definitely shows they know how offensive the name is and just don’t care which is whack
The beauty of all of this, is that mans was literally not doing a thing wrong 😂 he had a valid point the whole time, even if it was troll intended or not.
lol he was doing something wrong tbh. You cant just go into a basketball game and start trolling. its funny and all. he has a point in a way, even if its missing the reason why the school is called that. But i mean, u cant just walk into a highschool and start causing drama. they get tight if you have no relation to anyone there.
all jokes aside it’s crazy how they all blind eye the race question and the principal really flipped it and made it a gender thing😂 bruh really just asked a question too
Massive respect for trying to spread awareness for what the hell is going on here. I think it’s seriously messed up and I have even more respect from when I noticed there was no ads. He doesn’t even care about money. He just wants to spread positivity massive respect.
Lmao no he doesn’t he did it just for a video.. the cotton pickers aren’t even referring to the blacks it’s the Mexicans lmao you know not only black people we’re slaves
Respect to that man at the end for actually explaining that it was about the paid industry in that town and not slaves. I was confused af the whole video.
apparently the cotton fields were man made in the early 1900s when they were building up the town area, they had to develop irrigation in order for cotton to grow from what I gather. it's near the border so naturally mexican workers seeking jobs arrived, it then became their livelihood. now in context it does make sense.
@@jasonmusic9938 regardless. I’m black so I don’t want ppl to think what I’m saying is crazy, but it’s straight facts. Slaves in America a lot of them were from Africa in the slave trade, and the they they were treated in Africa was absolutely atrocious, unfortunately they were in better hands on a plantation than they were on their own turf. So yes slavery was wrong, but people only seem to look at one side of the coin. Bad people in power will do bad things. White, black, brown or blue.
@@enihwlatot4052 the entire video my eyebrows were inward and down, i was angry and perplexed too, until I did the research, the town and the "cotton picking" was done and built in the early 1900s, now if my history is correct, slavery was abolished 1865, which means despite the name, the Mexican workers' livelihood and heritage is based of this, so in a way, it could also be seen as an attack on their heritage there. It would be 100 percent different had there been forced labor on that land. Don't think I don't get it, because I do, but like I said in the context of things, it changes the narrative. I also only mentioned previously the history and the situation down there, I did not bring into it anything else, non bias.
@@ikeu6433 EH WRONG! More slaves have died while captured by their own people, than slavery in the south. People were taken against their will, against thousands of tribesman in Africa, to be pawned off in the slave trade. The majority of them fought back, and faced very grave atrocities. I mean you can read ANY slave trade book, and I mean any... and find out the main contributors, abusers of Slavery, were the wealthy kings, tribesmen in Africa.
@@ikeu6433 the funny thing is though, you completely missed my point😂😂. People blame white folks for slavery, when it is a fact, that cannot be disproven, that Africa was just as much to blame. A lot of folks would say they played a far bigger role.
I love how Kai talk to the older man at the end. And the older man had so much respect for Kai and what he was doing that he pulled him to the side to let him know what he just walked into from one black man to another
Mad respect to pops at the end, he was talking straight from the heart. We need more people like him. But unfortunately when that school see this video, his ass getting fired
Nah, just because you say doesn't mean that happened. He still has his job and nothing he said was grounds for anything like that happening. You guys thinking this town is run by racists is stupid. That shows you sheep follow and believe what some idiot wants you to believe. Look up robstown and research for yourself.
Damn. Props to the guy at the end but he clearly didn't want his views recorded. Hopefully, the school doesn't hold this against him but given the negative way the head teacher reacted to Kai. I don't think its going to work out well for him. We might need to set up a go fund me to help him if he losses his job.🙏🏾
i respect that dude at the end for standing up for kai but hopefully the school doesnt see this because they would probably fire him for defending him which is ridiculous.
@@mollyna1 well most likely they aren't Mexican, they are probably other latinos mixed with Africans, Since latinos from Puerto Rico, Salvador, Brazil, Columbia, Domican Republic etc are usually more mixed with african ancestry then mexicans
As funny as it may be to some it’s fucked up at the same time, just underlines the fact that there’s little to no embracement of blackness in that town. But whatever, food probably sucks there anyway lol
hes right tho i know exactly what he's saying. me and my sister are the only black people at my school and the mixed kids act like white people. it's literally how it is.
@@emilyhenderson373 I agree half the Mexicans at my school act the same and I'm saying that as a Mexican. I grew up thinking I was full mexican but apparently I'm half white, so I attained a different perspective than my peers who knew they were white. I think I was 13. anyways yeah like half em don't even know they're cultural background or history. and I know that for a fact, because we moved from a city with %78 Latino population to a city with %90 white population, it messed with my cultural identity. But I could see a lot of similarities in how they are oblivious to others and they're own cultural identity.
pretty sick of that principle to try to insinuate you were making the young girl uncomfortable as if you were trying to do something to her, I feel like she was lieing and if she wasn’t whatever girl snitched was sick of that too, they were treating him as if he was a sick black man, Im glad we saw this and i hope they reap everything
We appreciate you Kai for going out and exploring something we never knew the true meaning behind. And the coach was a real one for taking time out to actually educate you instead of kicking you out. ✊🏾 Funny and educational
Do your own research, ain’t nobody gotta give you no explanation, they were there to watch a basketball game!!! Your lucky that coach even talked to you.
to identify Martin Malcom & Rosa proves that. so it’s only right that black Americans living or visiting Robstown do the same and embrace the history thats important in the Hispanic culture." Actual POC from our town with loads more insight and intelligence then anyone here. Yall should be ashamed.
Harvey Don and Rayman Beats 3 weeks ago (edited) Damn.
Old dog schooled him quick got him to actually turn his act down so he could talk. Respect to that man for being the better person in the middle of that town. Dudes got heart.
exactly maybe if Kai wouldn't have came in acting like a clown he prob could have gotten somewhere with the discussion but they saw his antics and were quick to dismiss him smh
@@AyyyFabo what did he do to act like a clown? He just walked up to ppl and asked them questions. He wasnt loud or standing on the bleachers or anything.
@@metrobeem353 Exactly, the coach even stated that they won’t even lend an ear or consider change, it’s been tried and failed even with NAACP on their heels.
That man at the end was the only hope I saw throughout all this video, he was so damn genuine and you could see and feel the human in him though a goddamn video. Like holy shit, what an amazing guy, he is extremely wise for his age, thank god he’s a teacher. We wouldn’t want no new generation full of racist ignorant children.
I use to run Track and Field against Robstown in High School. It was always my favorite Track Meet cause they had a badass Blue Track. That was from '98-'02. They were hella of great athletes there in Cross Country too... The last few years i heard the small town got taken over with Heroin.
The one thing they got on him that makes them right about kicking him out is that he's at a high school, and hes technically an adult interacting with Kids. you gotta be careful with these pranks when it comes to kids
@@zippit522 No it was another girl he didn’t put in the video because right after he took pictures with them on the bleaches he pointed the camera to another female student next to the principle and said they are snitching.

OG at the end provided some much needed context to the history of the schools name. People of that town, specifically Hispanic people, came for the purpose of creating a better life for themselves. It just so happens that cotton picking is how they chose to make their livelihood there. So, while it may not sit well with our people, we cannot tell them how to honor and remember those who came before them. Yes, two things can coexist
Hey wassup 👋 We both love Kai cenat’s content 🔥 he makes us all laugh and I’m tryna do that to my supporters too 💯 mind showing me some support and I hope to put a smile on your face! Cya around 👀
Big respect for Kai using his platform to shed light on this ✊🏿 💯 but we not gonna act like shawty at 4:16 ain’t have a dump truck on her back gahhh dam 🍑
