Another good vlog, video. Really enjoyed, be a new experience if ever visit New York City again in future? Have seen an observation tower like this with plans for glass elevators or glass doors make the rounds online, this might of been it? Might of been something else? But nice new & interesting attraction for New York City & somewhere maybe consider going up to have a look in future if ever visit city again? Especially with the nice views, shame on the smog. But its what it is at the end of the day & evening, but nice video, enjoyed and look forward to seeing more videos like this again in future. 😀👍

Lights were low in gift shop to prevent reflection on glass ...then you cant see so well ...great video !

That looks amazing. Makes ne want to get back to NYC. I was lucky enough to get to go up the WTC in 99. I agree that Empire state is no comparison. It wasn't then. Too old. What i remember most about WTC was that the open air deck part was not really advertised when you were within the enclosed viewing. And also that my camera ran out of battery at the top. Buy as this was pre camera phones, New York was prepared. There was a shop in there selling just about every possible camera battery or film.😂😂

As far as souvenirs I always get magnets for the fridge. Its affordable, easy to transport back and something wveryone can see all of the time. So I usually get the coolest refrigerator magnet.

I can't get over the sheer scale of those buildings. The night-time views were absolutely stunning, blade runner vibes. Cool to see the fireworks in the distance, you guys were even higher than them.

Just another reason why New York is my favorite city in the world. The smoke was so bad from the Canadian wildfires, the streetlights were on all day at at my house and even driving was scary along with all my clothing smelling of a camp fire! Great job again guys!

A lovely way to end your America trip. Such a pity the views were spoiled by the smog. There is no way I could have stood of the glass floor and looked down not before several cocktails in the bar beforehand. 😂 Nice place to eat an evening meal and the city really came to life at night. Went up the edge in March had perfect clear sky’s such a great view from up there.

It’s shame you guys didn’t get the best view you can get from up their, as on a clear day you can see for miles up there, but you made the most of it!

The Edge is really cool, but I think Summit Vanderbilt is the best, as it's a whole experience. It's also very central (at Grand Central Station) and not as far to the side as The Edge. I don't know how the prices compare though. Also, The Vessel (1:36) isn't temporarily closed, it's indefinitely closed since three suicides happened there, and installing nets would make it look extremely ugly. I hope they do decide to reopen it sometime!

Agree with you on the observatories, you don't want to go up the top of the Empire state building which is not only expensive, you can't see the building itself which is like the jewel of the night view oh Manhattan skyline. Can I ask what camera you used to shoot your videos please. Footage is crisp and the voice is clear.

Looks fantastic but one place I never want to visit is new york it looks so busy don't think I would enjoy it at all x

Spectacular I never knew about The Edge. My last visit to NYC was back in 2004 so obviously much has changed. Fantastic USA adventure guys and well done. Look forward to more adventures in the near future.

Hudson Yards is built on top of the railroad tracks into Penn Station. Its a good way to add more space to a city

The only observation building there was, when I lived there, was the Empire state building. Still a great place to visit. It always reminds me of Sleepless in Seattle

20:07 I ought to go to the Edge Observation Deck the next time I am in NYC. I have a fear of heights, but I think of the Tony Bennett song "Penthouse Serenade" that he recorded in 1958, especially at night. Probably the best observation deck in NYC out of all of them there, even though it is brand new. And you don't need to be wealthy to enjoy the view at The Edge and have access to a penthouse. Open to the public.

One Vanderbilt is the best observation deck in city it's interactive and unique art work. Next time in city go there. I did the edge in March and they had a ice skating rink up there that was cool and eating at the Peak restaurant there was nice also

Plymouth has Smeatons Tower with awesome views looking over Plymouth Hoe well worth a visit

Apparently there’s an Edge Walk attraction there too where you get to climb the slanted part of the building at the top. That’s a bucket list item for me having done the one at CN Tower. 😀. This place looks absolutely awesome and thank you for sharing!

Unfortunately The Vessel (an incredible sculpture/ art piece, is closed due to suicide jumpers. The Shed is next door, an incredible concert venue with retractable roof. Hudson Yards is very nice, but I guess I understand the hate it gets. Very EXPENSIVE, European designer boutiques, expensive restaurants, like you said, a cocktail is $25!! Condominiums there are in the millions, but it’s a very nice addition to NYC (especially the trees, and plants). ……..They should call the area “Expensive Yards”. !! 😂😁. Thanks for showing us.

those steps are called the Vessel which was a big art project that was supposed to give great views of Hudson yards. unfortunately people kept jumping off the top ending their lives. the steps themselves are closed but the bottom is open to look at while the steps are roped off. but the shopping area is really nice despite being all high end luxury goods. the Christmas display is really nice in there as some of the proceeds in December actually go to the Make a wish foundation which grants a wish to sick children.

Is there a time limit for how long you can stay up there?

They'll keep it dark inside so you can see the vue outside . If the light was on all you would see is inside reflection on the windows.

Can I ask, did you guys use the New York Pass or City Pass for these attractions? I’ve used them in the past and they’re a great way to save so much money and you get to see almost everything.

"The edge" -- of narcissism. Like a theme park, where the theme is: New York admires itself. Or should I say, w-nks off to itself. Pretentious and irrelevant technology spectacle of Nothing on the way up; no content, no meaning, just there as if to justify the ticket price. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for saving me $45!

actually the river is entirely new jersey territory. the idea is from Brighton beach and the boroughs are new york but the waters are new jersey. its some weird contract they have so when you go to ellis island you are going from new york into new jersey back into new york. its one odd thing fortunately there isn't an actual border crossing just the city is taxed on the amount of people on each ferry and its added at tax time to NYC's tax rolls. its just one weird system of spending money.

Hudson yards once all the apartments went in it was like sold out on 30 seconds. its the most sought after address in new York city. the penthouse goes for more than a million dollars and its the height of luxury living in NYC. Chinatown apartment are also in hot demand. but really the entire lower east side is really jumping for real estate. billionaires row isn't great anymore.

Who would go to New York to look at New Jersey? That's like going to Lyon just for the area theme park...oh wait 😳
